An idiots way to amuse to a judge and spend a stretch at her majesties pleasure, tryin to avoid pickin up the soap in front of bubba in the showers! Bit of a stupid post given the boys in blue often monitor forums for such things!

I only had a light smoke on mine too and got pulled for nothin, when they couldn't find anything else wrong they wasted an hr gettin the car with the tint measuring machine out to check it! I understand there needs to be at least 75% light transmission on the fronts which is what most cars come with as standard.Mine looked darker because the rears were tinted medium and dark.

ECU isn't essential for what you want to achieve power wise but should you wish to go higher then it'll be needed. If not fitting an ecu you'll need some form of fuel cut defencer hks make a popular one.

In a word.....NO! You will probably end up with loads of bubbles in it! I've done a bit of it on vehicles where it didn't matter if it was pretty or not and did quite a good job given i'd never done it before. But if you want a good finish get it done by a pro,it'll cost about £150 for the rear windows. Do not tint the fronts as that is very illegal and if the cops stop you they will make you remove them within 7 days and possibly a fine,or at worst put a prohibition notice on the car till they are removed!

finally got round to removing the aircon.
paul w replied to jon5698's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
It is illegal to vent the gas to atmosphere, any garage that does air con refills or air con specialists will remove the gas for a small fee ;) It's done now though. -
The only way to learn is to ask ;) By askin does it dump ok i mean is it dumping with a decent PSSST,it probably does at the mo as you still have the stock top mount intercooler,if you fit a frontmount it wont dump properly with the huge pipe you got on it. Keep the pink stripe the women will like it
-
Stainless mani's are shit! Save the cash and do it right first time with a mild steel mani ;) RRFPR= rising rate fuel pressure regulator handy to stop you leaning out the fuel mix when upping the boost, hybrid is a good choice minimal lag and good for about 200bhp. The fuel pump/RRFPR and ecu are used to sort out the fueling at higher boost. Does the dump valve dump properly? By shortening the pipe it takes less pressure to make it dump,it's having to fill about a foot of extra piping there.Mine is just about 2" off the intercooler pipe.

Try here mate, give them a ring should be about £60 http://importsolutions.co.uk/default.asp

Nice car, first thing i would do is get a boost gauge, breather filter for the rocker cover then shorten the pipe attached to the dump valve. BHP wont be more than 140ish with those mods listed, get an uprated fuel pump,HKS actuator, mild steel mani, decat, frontmount intercooler,RRFPR,ECU,the list is endless once you start mate! ;)

Thanks for the info on the splitter shaun. Please keep the bitching outa my thread! ;) You take a risk when buying any 2nd hand car,it's always up to the buyer to check it over properly before purchase! With that said any further bitching or arsey comments are to be kept to msn or better still,to yourselves, else i'll have to ask a mod nicely to remove them, please and thank you!

Poll: Glanza Plate holder or stick to UK Spec?
paul w replied to Idrees's topic in Lifestyle General
Import plates look silly without the holder. just my 2p -
Don't think theres a lot they could do about that! Driver just got a bit too much air and went off line, the joys of rallying! ;)
