  1. Looks like he should be ok,hope it won't be long till he gets back to his old self the mad fool!!
  2. You sure they arn't using the re-circ valve as mentioned above? No valve is gonna be v bad for the turbo, just look at the number of rally cars that have engine failure! Not saying it's always caused by turbo damage but it cant do the engine any good! Just my 2pence worth,im no expert but a bov is there for a reason. Engine longevity.
  3. what no bov? Can't think why, surely it would affect the pick up between gear changes? Think i'll keep mine on!
  4. Are you trying to get the noise the rally cars make? If so take the bov off and block the hole i think, not 100% though.dunno how long the turbo will last either as the fluttering is the air passing back over the turbo blades the wrong way! Try it and let us know.
  5. I think it's a great idea, sorry to those yet to pass their test, but everyone should have to drive in all seasons! It will make better drivers of those who have to do it. There is nothing worse than a nervous driver who shouldn't be behind the wheel,or a cocky 17yr old bloke who just passed their test wheelspinning away from a stop just because they can! Would you walk down a busy street with a loaded gun with the saftey off and finger on the trigger? Driving any car is the most dangerous thing many people do,but who thinks about crashing or hurting someone when they are driving? No-one,unless
  6. Bastids! it pisses me off when people do that! i park next to expensive motors or preferably another jap beast! You could also carry a handy heavy object to return the favour next time! ;)
  7. Dont tell them it's not standard, just pray you or anyone else doesn't crash it! The joys of modded cars! I would ring round all the insurers in the back of the jap performance mags if you still wanna declare mods.Alloys make you a risk because it makes people notice your car. They are robbing bastards the insurance guys! ;)
  8. I'm interested too,not running big power but reckon i can launch pretty well. And my car is an unusual colour! ;)
  9. I've had a look in the tech section and my fuse box don't look like the one in the pic.I've got a 94 quad light,is the one in the tech section for a galanza? Problem only seems to happen on a slight slope with a hot engine.
  10. Only if i select the general forum, try one of the others.
  11. That is a cracking bit of road, been on it a few times when i been workin up round buxton.
  12. I'm not far from bristol either,a meet sounds like a plan.
  13. Get them to get you the right parts next day delivery as it's their cock up! If they say they cant ask to speak to the manager and give him a proper roasting! They will be there pretty quick then i'm sure,it's amazing what can happen if you shout at the right people! Had problem at halfrauds once, when i was young and didn't know any better! I ordered a pair of corbeau bucket seats, the monkey on the desk didn't actually order them, twice! Shouted at the manager(politely of course) and got them buy one get one free! Try it,works for me! ;)
  14. I know what you mean about reliability, forgot to mention that part! had mine for 3 1/2 years and it was in the garage on warrenty claims 36 times!!!!!! Was what turned me to the jap side, never looked back since. ;) Put me right off the VAG. I pity the fools who bought it,seen 3 or 4 other folks driving it in the last coupla years. ;)
  15. I think you may have a good race on the track with this one, remember a seat is basically a poor mans audi so theres a bit of pedigree there. I had a petrol ibiza 20vt when they first came out and that could fly with a few basic mods, revo remap ,induction kit ,blah blah blah. All i'm saying is that just because it's a seat don't think its crap because of the badge thats on it,you might just get a surprise!! Them diesels have a lot of torque, thats what makes a car quick NOT bhp! Many people talk about bhp being the most important thing, thats bollox! Best of luck with this one, let us all know
  16. Righto i'll have a look thanks. Pissin it down now don't really fancy tinkering under the bonnet in the rain! ;)
  17. Theres a set of clear units on ebay for a galanza, dunno if they fit yours or not. would put a link up but i'm not that computer minded!
  18. Cheers mate, not sure how to do the error code check. How do you do that? It's only when the engine's hot, doin my head in it is!
  19. I got a bit of a problem at idle when the car is hot, revs sometimes drop right off and or stall totally, think it's the idle control valve.Where is it in the engine and anyone got one lying around for a 94 ep82? cheers folks
  20. Looks grand mate,i loved my one,by christ they don't half drink the super unleaded though! They are an amazing car to drive and a nice change from the usual scoobies and evos! Has it had the figure 8s done? Jammy git.
  21. Looks well tidy with the orange lip on them. Leave the stickers off though for sure.
  22. I've got a mate who does all my sprayin an stuff like that.Car was sprayed this way before i got it! If i'd paid for it in the first place i'd make damned sure it was done right the first time!
  23. Nice and clean there mate, did you tint the indicators yourself or buy them like that? I always end up with a bloody seagull crappin on mine once i clean it!
  24. Thanks lads, thought about sanding it down but wasn't sure, got plenty stuff to do it in the garage,i'll do it before it goes to the bodyshop.should save a £ or 2! needs respraying too because theres too many stonechips on it.Gotta hate cowboy spray painters!
  25. I like the wheels on the orange one. Sum quality cars on there.
