After a drive today, I dunno, I'm in love with my starlet, seriously, apart from on 28 degree days like this, I WISH I HAD A/C. My mum really needs the car though cause her new job requires her to drive, rather than take the tube (as she normally does) and she can't drive anything much bigger than the starlet.. Well, the starlet is technically muy mums with me on 2nd driver, and she uses it every saturday, but basically while I'm at college, shes without a car, and she can't drive anything bigger than a starlet, so I'm gonna get the BMW as my OWN car but theres 2 choices. 1. 2001 BMW 316ti Compact SE (£4000 + £1800 insurance) OR 2. I get my sisters (pictured above) 2004 Fiat Punto 1.4 16v Sporting for free, only done 35k, and has all the equipment of the BMW, and is actually a lot quicker and the same amount to insure. Yeah, my starlets only £1100 a year atm, yes at 17... 0-60 in the beemers about the same as the golfs, but the top speeds higher and its a BMW so show it a corner and it'd get rid of the golf haha. My neighbours 1.6 golf can't keep up with my starlet till about 65ish, so yeah your right on that front, but the golfs a much more "whole" car. Shafz.

Nah I'm getting my own BMW, 316ti Compact SE 2001, I'm keeping the starlet too as a project, but the BMW's gonna be all mine, I got a quote for it and it was decent too, my dads getting rid of his 325i this August anyway, getting a 535d M sport... *drool* E36 3 series are good but the 316i's (all you'd get insured on) are PISSSS SLOWWWW, ALTHOUGH, If your budget was 3k, you coulda got an E36 318ti compact, they're quick, and I got a quote for one that was relatively cheap, but decided to go for the E46 instead. If insurance wouldn't rape you, you can pick up a SICK 1989 BMW 520i for under a grand and rag it for all its worth haha, but seriously nothing'll beat the starlet for that criteria, just don't end up in a clio or something lmao, either way we'll have our little meet though, just try get something decent haha, I know how parents are on this matter, they wanted me to get a Punto 1.4 16v Sporting :| I WAS LIKE NOOOO. Those pics were right after it bedded but the shocks are new anyway, it was standard shocks because they'd just been replaced (MOT'd 2 weeks before). It scrubs quite a bit with 3 in the back and theres this KILLER speedbump (as you know in London :|) where I have to take it at an angle and almost diagonal at like crawling speed, pisses people off behind me but I don't care! haha. Yeah I believe so, though to be honest its only powering the subwoofer as thats the only ICE mod I have, and 40% of the time the headunits not even in the car and the subs not being used so its fine. Shafz.

@Anup, Yeah, sidestrips are being taken off soon, really not had the time with assignments and stuff coming up :| Yes it does rub with 3 in the back, but I never have 3 in the back so its cool, and the exhaust scrapes on this one REALLY high speedbump in my area :harhar: @Amjad, Same springs as yours I think mate, PI 40mm lowering springs - haven't bedded in as they've only been on for 2 days.
