Signal ecu reads for speed. Ie the speedo is mechanical. The ecu takes an electric reading for its own needs

Yes mate. I had speed signal failure only happens If ecu doesn't read signal above certain rpms for a period of time. Also do a diagnostic check and see what fault code flashes up

Mines lasted bro, maybe I got that big hole in the cruise bonnet.lol but my old man uses air ducting with Teflon coating which mine is. Think was on air conditioning site he used. . I'm looking at the electric pas for the summer.

Tobys ecu by any chance? Like Adam said it's good for a starlet particularly what you use it for. Standalones as long as good mapper are better then emu. Omex transformed mine.. Now got updated software and sensors be interesting to see a better power band.
