  1. To buttons on the right hand side of the stearing wheel manu and pwr. The manu button seems to keep revs down under 4k and pwr to the red line make sure the car mat isnt under the go go pedal

  2. Small bit of info for you guys that want maximum traction:

Under acceleration - as well as in braking and cornering -

there is a definite traction limit. This is established by the

coefficient of friction between the tires and road, which is

limited by the type of tire, effectiveness of the car's

suspension, road conditions and balance of the car.

Generally, on a dry road, maximum traction occurs when

there is approximately 8 to 15% wheelspin. This means a

tire develops its most grip when there is actually a certain

amount of slippage (due mainly to the elasticity of the

rubber tire). At this rate there will be a faint squeal of tires

and a faint grey line on the road. Exceeding this amount of

wheelspin, or limit, will result in less than maximum

acceleration. If you should begin to get this kind of

wheelspin, back off the throttle, feathering it until you have

controlled traction at maximum acceleration again.

Obviously, this traction limit changes with road conditions.

On a wet road the limit is around 2 - 5% wheelspin; on ice

    0 - 1/2% wheelspin.

guy in my old work told me this when i googled it i was suprised to see it was true.

  3. I believe alot of Glanza's came with the keyfob, which means its alarmed. Test the alarm by locking it with the remote and then unlocking with the key. The alarm doesn't disarm so as soon as the door is opened then the alarm should go off. Obviously then just unlock with the fob and it shuts up

Seems like a clean motor and I look forward to seeing what you do with it.

As for gearboxes.. check the breakers yard, usually find one in there. That or contact Idrees, hes broken a few Stars for spares, he might have a gearbox.

it'll be the first thing i test well second i'll test the go go peddle first i think, as for the gear box i'll need a everything from gearbox to shifter, linkages peddles...... hope someones got it all. I did want a white one but for the price i cant grumble thanks for the positive comments the cheshire cat is grinning and i've not even got it yet
