A clock sping carries the wires for the airbag and horn on cars with airbag it can also carry wire for other buttons like radio, cruse control...... Etc on other cars equipt with such. The clock spring is a coil of flat wires that are designed in a certain way that it can only be rotated a set amount of times in each direction before it damages the wire. So if you adjust it while the steering wheel is off and dont put it back to its set position you could damage it when you go on full lock. I'm not very good at explain things so i hope you got the jist

Cringe........... if its airbag steering wheel and you moved the squib/clock spring you could have damaged it.

Diognostic wont help if the wiring been repaired get it checked also check rear light earths as the brake light might be missing one meaning its backfeeding the side lights you might find a problem using the indicators and braking at same time

Nice one riko i knew there was a difference but thought i might of been like different ring gear or more crank bolts but smaller clutch makes sence as more power needs to be put down

Think the rule is something like the plate need to be mounted as far forward as posible on the car so long as it has a suitable and safe mounting place
