  1. Can you post some pictures of your civic rad + fan im using this kit:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CIVIC-CRX-...=item483a28c98b

im after some photos of how you have fitted the fan, and the picture of what way you have the blades want to double check mine is correct i will post some pictures of mine today

    So what happened today:

Went to the car wash, had the car polished and cleaned and they left it running the whole time; 45min - 1hr so i think the thermostat has been nuked. (I know the thermostats are so weak)

I got in the car to see the temperature was up a fair bit but not in the red i didn't hear the fan going but then again exhaust is quite loud. I turned it ovff opened the bonnet and let it cool for 5-10min.

I drove off the temperature stayed at half way but then spiked up to 3/4 (but not in the red) whilst driving immediately it settled back to half way, know i know these are tell tale signs of thermostat as it did this most of way home. up and down up and down

know im going to change the thermostat as its cheap and takes a couple of seconds to do.

But my question is this which relates to my civic rad and fan setup. The fan is mounted on the BACK of the radiator the air is travelling towards the back of the car so it should be sucking air through the rad is this correct? i have a video also you can see the paper blowing towards the back of the car:

now please correct me if im wrong i have been running this setup of fan and radiator for like 2-3 weeks and its been sweet, i just believe the car sitting there for so long on idle has nuked the thermostat hopefully you can confirm.

    i will rep you! thanks

  2. if i was you i would sell the JAM ecu get greddy e-manage blue and couple it with greddy profec eo-1 boost controller.

they work well together and a get it mapped with the boost controller which means it will be running spot on.

its probably not what you wanted to hear but its a affordable and qaulity setup.

cheers for the reply i will eventually get a power fc its on the list prob bit over kill for a hybrid ct9 but meh, i understand what you are saying that the boost controller matches the ecu and will work well together

but if i were to splice into the jam ecu with the apexi is it going to effect my ecu if i have to sell it?

    any other input or information?

  3. cheers enzo thats clear and understand the concept of how it fits and am grateful for everyone replys its assembled in my house now just not sure if i got the washers on the right way and the right locking nuts in the right place ill do some pics before i fit it just to double check thanks all
