im interested in the headlights if they havent gone
-
yer its is old technology now, but they are on about updating and revamping the power fc. At the time it was a great unit, and as said above good value for money 2nd hand in terms of other cars like the imprezza etc but they are crazy money for our cars.
Yeah 50 units would be a struggle just wanted to see if many people would want one?
anyway ill be keeping an eye out for one 2nd hand.
-
its not a group buy its like market research for apexi lol. Just most standalones cost crazy money and i no of people usinf the apexi on other cars and its a half decent unit .
-
If it were possible and the apexi power fc was revamped and relaunched for the ep91 and ep82 starlet gt and glanza who would be 100% interested and be able to afford a unit.
For example if they were around £750 just for the ecu, no hand commander etc, could you afford it and would you be interested? If it were just the ecu, for around £750 exc delivery import taxs etc who would want one?
I have been in contact with apexi usa and have been inquiring into the discontinued powerfc for ep91 and ep82. They tell me the product was discontinued due to components etc being obsolete in todays technology however they are currently in talks/working on a revamp for the rb25det and 1jz engine.
If we can convince them there will be enough interest they may look in to the 4efte however minimum requirements is 50-100 units for it to be even worth them considering.
what do you guys think? i would definately be interested.........

but pissed of really gonna probably get this driveshaft seal done elsewere need a new garage now, sigh
-
Thanks Gary yer he said he would press it out, but that's gonna bump the price up a fair amount cause e will have to remove the whole leg etc it's just bollox man proper pissed off gonna take the car elsewhere me thinks
-
if u heat it it will fuk wheel bearing, tell them to use an air chisel on it and it will be out in 2 secs
yeah they said heating would fuck up the wheel bearing cheers for the suggestion ill let them no lol
-
right well EPIC FAIL the garage couldnt get the driveshaft out/unseized and today has cost me £210 and left with a broken car and have got mot this month "oh the joys"
-
cheers james they said they might have to "remove the whole leg" and do what you said above but im guessing thats gonna get expensive? and im so skint, i hate this time of yr tax, mot, insurance all in the same month and now a giant repair bill
-
Right guys dropped my car off today to have the gearbox driveshaft oil seals relpaced, and got a call to say that my cv boots were ripped and totally fucked and that they needed to be replaced now the problem is the drivers one is totally seized and wont come out of the hub.
Has anyone had a similar issue and how did you get this sorted cars still at the garage now
hope my explanation kinda makes sense cheers for your help any recommendations how to get it out? there isn't any hidden clips or similar to remove it?

Can't map a Jam ecu.
yes cheers for that mate, im sorry that my post was unclear i was referring to if i were to purchase a emanage, im fully aware the jam units cannot be mapped
-
What power you gettin at the moment mate? what ecu are you using? im on a jam ecu and am at 1.1bar and am gettin 207bhp and 193ftlb im using a jam ecu i think if i had it mapped it could make better power for sure but need a decent mapper and would hate to get the car mapped and make less power.
anyway in my opinion others have done, i don't see why not if the car is mapped correctly what size injectors you thinking of running? oh and were did you get the car mapped? my glanza has 0.9 bar low boost and 1.1bar high boost the car so much much more aggresive at 1.1bar whats your car like to drive mate?
-
got a new fmic bump this up for a panhard
-
im kinda of confused whats the clear lense for on the 98 spec lights? lol as the 97 glanza has reverse in the tail gate thing?

Compared mine to a friends he has blitz I have jam, the Dyno operator commented that the blitz ecu had a more gradual and steady curve of power delivery where as my jam ecu had much more aggressive increase after 4.5 revs.
Both cars made nearly identical power ad torque figures
