So I can read the car gets smoky on boost but he has a new TD05 turbo that just needs to be fitted I would say fit it then see if it goes. If it is not the turbo what else could course that?

Thank you for that buddy I am grateful. From what he has put in his add the car is kicking out blue smoke so that would be the seals gone in the turbo right. I know there can be other courses but that is the most common.

Hello all, Have been looking online as I am thinking of another starlet as I didn't manage to get the full fun out of my first one due to job loss. Anyway I have been looking online and seen a couple. I am mainly after a MK1 as I prefer them to the others I have seen one online that looks interesting but need to know a few things before I do. I know a few things about these cars but not about this turbo set up. It is running a TD05 what is the difference between this ant the TD04 as I know that is the most common upgrade. It does have quite a lot of upgrades to it which make me a bit nervous as it has done 109 miles without a new engine by the sounds of things the spec is below if you could tell me what you think I would be grateful. TD05 running safe 0.9bar boost Tomz tecs ecu HKS actuator Toyo sports manifold Autobahn88 front mount FPR Uprated injectors unknown make Uprated clutch Civic rad Manual boost controller Japspeed full exhaust Toad cat1

That's true both the AMK and the BAM on the first map equal the same BHP. This is totally standard apart from a boost gauge to save fuel lol and to prove she is not mapped.

Hi buddy, You are correct in a way there are 2 types of cupra r you have the 2002-2004 that are AMK 210 BHP and you have the 2004-2006 BAM 225 BHP. Mine is the AMK 210 BHP and to be honest I have driven a BAM thanks to work and you cant tell the difference.

The car has only done 93500 miles and engine is very strong. I was told when i bought the car the cam belt was changed but had no paperwork to prove so i havent taken the risk i had it replaced with the water pump. All parts that have been replaced are genuine Seat parts and as you know some parts are not cheap. A lot of money has been spent on this car since i owned it but with no exspence spared. Good points: Just had a new thermostat Tax 30.01.14 MOT 14.09.14 Just had 2 new front tires Good service histroy missing 1 service back at 70 which is only a oil and filter Just had a full big service including cambelt, water pump and coolant change . New ball joint Both cv joints Cd player I have all the paperwork for all the work done. Bad points not many: As it is yellow it does have fade and the previous owner looks like he has tried to get the colour back but gone down to theprimer see photo. Congrads on findjng a mk1 mate they are the best ones in my eyes if I got one again it wouls be a mk1 if yk Are going to knock down the power be careful with the mods you remove as you wont be able to put a standard exhaust on running that power the car will have issues.
