I would def get a new manifold, exhaust and decat they are a must for me anyway. Just wanted to see what i would need to make a bar. for when i get another gt.

Thanks very much daniel she was lush was a mk1 in green with a full tomz kit only had her 3 months but due to work i had to sell. I have found the person that has her but i have noticed a few threads that have been posted saying that he car has blown more than 2 engines so my heart has sunk. Has made me think do i see if i can get it or should i not bother with the risk and find another. I think i would only keep it at about a Bar as i would only want it at about 200 HP but it would only be used at that when needed i would have a boost controller set at 1 bar for when i want to go fast but mostly set at a safe .6 or something for every day. So i think CT9 will do me fine maybe go to a hybrid later but will have to see but as long as the engine doesnt give out on my that is my biggest worry.

I know your pain Rick i am the same about my toms mk1 still ummming and arrring about trying to get that one back.

Hello Guys, Been a little while since i have made a post. As you know i have been looking for a starlet and been think weather to get a modified one or get a standard and modify myself, only problem is how much it will cost and what i would need to hit 1 bar. I have seen a lot of people have pushed there starlet with standard kit to hit a bar. When i mean standard i mean standard engine and turbo only the thing i am worried about is i dont want to hit 1 bar and then something blows i would still want the engine to be healthy and not strain so parts break or worst case the engine blows. Could you guys be so kind to tell me: What parts are need to make the starlet hit 1bar with standard turbo How much BHP you get out of 1 bar Last thing to the people that have put 1 bar with standard kit how has the car been did anything give out from doing this or was everything ok. Thanks guys i am very grateful and sorry if you think it is a stupid question just want to know everything for when the time comes. Nick

But dont you get the chatter only if you have some mesh over the turbo as it is the turbo doing the chatter more so. I have been in a starlet that had a ssqv and it made that noise big time and only had mesh and then i went in one with a pipe and air filter and had no chatter.

Hello Mate, Yeah it is still on the road so i know i think a chap call kurtm has it but i am not to sure if he has it for sale or on his mind for sale. Like you say i would like it back as it is my old car and never got to enjoy it and it is a mk1 and there are very few still on the road which is a right same.

Hello guys, As you know I have been trying to hunt down my old girl mk1 gt I imported and I found her. But I don't think she is for sale trying to contact him to see but I have heard from a few threads that has had the engine blown which my heart sunk. I wanted to see what's out there I have been thinking of getting another gt hopefully mk1 standard ish so I can do the mods myself so I know what has been done I would like it to have the inside totally standard as that was one thing I loved about my gt it was totally retro inside the old door cards and seats. but has to have a very healthy engine. If you could let me know that would be great. Nick

Hello everyone, I am looking for my old starlet as i am wanting to purchase it back. I sold it about 3 years ago after only having it 3 months, but due to money problems i had to sell. I got in contact to the chap who bought it from me and he sold it not long after i contacted him about 6 months ago. But yet again i am on the hunt for her as i do want to have a starlet again as i didnt have a chance to fully appreciate it. But the only starlet i want is my old mark 1 green GT turbo with a tomz body it but standard mk1 front bumper. Just wondered if the chap who bought it is a member or someone on here knows him if it is for sale as i am very interested in purchasing it back.
