yea ebay is the best place, i got 2 sets from on there. -
yep, mines the same as everything youve all described, just i dont have a purple wire, i have a yellow, green, black and grey wire. the yellow one is tapped up at the end so im guessing that was the speed sig wire, so its gota be one of the other 3. ill connect them to the handbrake one by one and set the turbo timer working and take keys out, the correct wire will be the one that keeps it running, just have to do it trial and error seeign as tho im not blessed with the purple wire.lol. thanks for all your help guys.
-
its a ultra turbo timer, it runs through a blitz harness though, going back t o my earlier question, will it be safe to test all 4 of them wires on the handbrake to see which is the right one.
-
p.s when they checked the wish bone, they put a bar in there and pushed up and down to check for movement, rather than just looking at the nuts.
-
mine had a very similar noise last week. it was loose bolts on the wish bone, check them. and the other thing contributing to that noise was the backing plate catching the disc. itll be an easy fix, i was moody twat for a week thinkin it was sumit really bad!! mine was also just after replacing the clutch. i now have the big smile back so dont worry.
-
i followed this back when i had my colt, its fucking mental!!! looks awsum but i cudnt bring my self to hack an evo 9 to bits, or was it an 8?
-
cool. mines really not that bad but ill give it a wipe, cant do any harm, does it only screw back on in one postion? or is it set at a position? just thinking back to when i cleaned my throttle postion sensor on my fto, was a bitch to get back in correct postion.
-
shocker. why on earth wud u post that on youtube? lol
-
yep, it does, have been reading up some instalation guides on google, and it seems everyone has some wires left over. wonder why they bother putting them in then. you reckon itll be ok to test them all to see which is the handbrake? in fact now i think bowt it i think one of the 4wires is purple. ill try that one frist.
-
hey got the harness yestersday. the black wire with spade terminal on is for the earth, theres 4 more wires coming out of the actual turbo timer harness. any ideas which one will be for the handbrake? should i just wire them all to the handbrake one by one to find out which one it is. and whats the rest of em for? guessing not alot. it wont damage the car or the controller by doing that??? cheers.
-
me2, wers the idle control va;lve? mines worse when im messing with heaters and shit, have heard the earths on this car are crap tho.
-
by glued i didnt meen with glue, which was a shit description, as above, get that double sided velcro, or get the no more nails sticky strips, there holding my eyebrows on. (the car)
-
hey, if you google apexi avcr manual, itll give you a link to apexi's website. good luck with working it out, ive got one in my car and i have no idea how to use it, just left it set as it was for now, gona get idrees to talk me thorugh it when we n=meet at end of the month. as to were it fits, mines glued to the cup holder so the botom sits just onto the botom of the centre consol. looks good down there.
-
hi mate, the rx7 tmic will up the boost, mine went from 0.83 to 0.88 bar when i fitted my rx7 tmic. so thatll probs be your problem, mine still doesnt hit fuel cut but i do have apexi fitted and im guessing the guy 4 me musta fitted a fuel cut defender but im not sure were it is if he did.lol.

Found The Creeking, Steering...
chriswoodfto replied to chriswoodfto's topic in Chassis & Suspension
ill try the wd40 then mate, the creeking has gone now. after tightened them 2nuts up, just a little squeek on the fornt right now, which shud just be what you were describing before. yea the guy who fitted the suspension wasnt the guy i wanted working on it to be honest, but theres 5mechanics at the garage i take my car too. will ask 4 the usualy guy to look after it next time. -
didnt have a manual with it, bought it form a member, ill have a look and see whats wat, the two wires your asking about are the ones im unsure of aswell i think, only dif colors tho.

bmp for people back from work now.lol. -
wooo, finally, ive worked out were that annoying bloody creeking was coming from!! basically im just looking for some reasurance please. lol. when you spin the steering wheel its creeking, i had it lowered 3weeks ago, all was fine, then a week later the creeking started, went back had the tracking looked at again, noise went away... then a week later the noise is back. also now the steering wheel is off centre.it was bang inline went he tracking was done. basically im wanting someone to say its because theyve not trightened somethign up proply rather than it being some expensive repair.
