this is a intresting topic, i have a uk spec starlet s. mine can almost hit 60 in second. also the engine can quite happily truddle along doing 30 mph in 5th gear. i love the starlets gear ratios, it capable of very nippy acceleration, yet has no problems at lower speeds in higher gears. was able to pull away from my mate in a 316 bm of the line all the way till the end of 3rd gear wear he started to close the gap, which suprised me as i thought a 1.3 starlet vs 1.6 bm was no a chance.

mines done 110k the most that has gone wrong with my car in the past 10 months is .......... nothing. still going strong, but i understand what you mean. i am contemplating if i want to do any more mods to it even though its fine, its an old car, with alot of miles. might as well save for a low mileage turbo.

i have a N/a starlet so probs differs alot from glanza. but yea they wouldn't handle anything like a civic standard, back end can get very nervous, you can sort that with the right handling mods. but i love my starlet, couldn't imagen having anything else.

i am on a elecronics apprentiship. (: great pay for 17 year old.

In My opinion, get an N/A. wont be as fecked off if one day you find yourself wrapped around a solid object. ( : i was considering a v, but you can get 2 N/A's with insurance for the price of 1 glanza with insurance. waiting a few years can be a pain though
