  1. The car has been found earlier this morning burnt out. Im fucking pissed off, not even my car. cant imagen how sam feels. GRRR
  2. 1.ryan lang 2.ryan david 3.luke h Im up for this
  3. Wouldnt of been able to get low loader where it was parked, its a very narow road. must have been watching it as it is sort of tucked away only in view by neighbours. making me more weary as i dropped him off with a set of wheels the night before and often meet up in my car in that area.
  4. Glad to hear youve got the problem diagnosed. Hope you can get this sorted in the week. look forward to seeing this at JAE!
  5. thats a good point about the cat, can anyone help on this?
  6. Yea i thought i would be oversized. but its quite a short pipe from the flange to silencer, so it may not matter to much.... we will wait and see. thanks for the input
  7. Hi, is there anyone who could give me some advice on Back Box bore dimensions. Currently i have a 5E 4-2-1 OBX manifold with end flange of 2" that its then mated to a cat pipe and centre section with silencer that is also 2" Then it goes to the Tailpipe (no silencer witch has a 2.5" bore). This is very loud (has failed MOT on excessive exhaust noise). Now my question is will there be a significant loss of power if i install a back box from a 4efte that has a 3" internal bore? Or would i be better of getting a custom 2" bore back box made? Thanks for help in advance, Luke
  8. Yes, there is a noticable increase in the mid/top range. there may be a slight sacrafice of low end tourqe. also the 4efte throttle body will give a nice improvement, you will need a 4efte throttle possition sensor for the throttle body to operate.
  9. Will the ecu know what to do will air fuel mixture's ect after 6.2k rev's though? Edit: just relised asad has answerd this one
  10. http://www.tercelreference.com/tercel_info...ngine_info.html some usefull infomation in there, it also does say that 4efe rods are interchangeable for the 4efte but in beside it it says (downgrade)
  11. are you sure about the rods, i was under the understanding that it was the jdm spec 4efe that had the 4efte rods? wasnt someone selling a aftermarket n/a ecu on hear a while back that you where going to get? cant remeber what it was now.
  12. Yes, if you put a glanza v head on the 4efe it can rev higher, but without an ecu its pointless. you need an ecu that will accomidate the extra 1k revs. as far as i know the only toyota 4efe ecu that maps to 7200 is the rare jdm 4efe ecu that geo has said he may have a spare. but you wouldnt be able to utilise this inless you have the v head ect. worth noteing that the jdm 4efe had thicker rods. might be that the uk 4e are too week for 100ps???? haha
  13. Yea, the Glanza v Inlet & TB combo can only have its full potential of gains at higher revs.
  14. pretty sure that the glanza s has same engine as the uk spec 4efe but with a corrola mani and different ecu for the higher octain fuel. the rare JDM spec 4efe that came std with 100ps (glanza s ~80ps?) shared the same head as the 4efte which has stronger valves and springs to accomidate the higher 7200 rev limit. this has a different ecu to other 4efe n/a variants. not sure about the cams though?
  15. from the back. ive confused myself i little bit As your looking at it from the front of the car you turn it anticlock wise. i did it whilst the car was idleing, if its the wrong way the engine will just cut out, so you know to do it the other way. hope this helps.
  16. Ah i see, most likley to just be a bit of adjustment then. yea, sucks about the smoking, not got a clue about that one
  17. The link just sends me to google images main page mate. might be becasue im at work and the websites blocked. before ive adjusted the tps so its on the bare limit to cutting out, and it would be poping and banging everywhere with that "EML" light flickering evertime it pops. adjusting it clock wise stopped it all together, when adjusting it anti clockwise, it would cut out the engine and would not start when the key was turned upon re-starting the engine. From what i can assume the TPS has been hit or nudged by something to rotate it in a anti clockwise direction?????? (happened to mee too
  18. Think this happened to mine if its the same thing. when you change gear does it sort of back fire and the gearbox looking switch warning light flickers? I adjusted the throttle possition sensor clock wise" and this stopped. so might just need slight adjustment on the TB and TPS. hope its just as simple as that mate!
  19. Nothing is going on in gloucester, there were rumours and shops closed early ect. but a mate drove through the town center last night and said nothing was going on. in times like this, i think the news is more BS than truth. Edit: my mistake, around 5 oclock in the morning poeple started to burn down a derilict building next to gloucester college.
  20. iirc it doesnt matter which way round the coils go, when i put my spax springs on the rear a few coils where touching but it got past the MOT no problems. its just becasue there progressive coils.
