  1. We're keen to find out what people prefer - let me know what you think?
  2. Chuck a 1UZFE 4.0 V8 on the manual Supra box in there and you're away! Add some n/a goodies and bin the HiFi.
  3. That's looking niiiiiice! Just so I know, what exactly are those wheels and what size/offset are they? And did you need the 2.0mm spacers to clear in the end? Keep up the good work!
  4. It's also posssssible to get the 1UZ V8 transverse as well, but a nightmare and hasn't been done on a road car as far as I know (also on the same Toyota gearbox). Fun in inline RWD form though: Just add some itb's: Or a couple of turbos: (1,000 bhp) < erm...
  5. I think the Probe is all Mazda underneith? On the other hand the Toyota Camry 3.0 24v V6 bolts straight up to the Toyota gearbox used with the 3SGTE (as in Celica and MR2 etc etc). Bung them in a Starlet.
  6. Do you get squeal with the EBC Reds then? That's pretty rare! I do plan to look at the rear, but it's a pain due to the bearing-in-disc design, maybe one day though.
  7. My brother's (3.5 converted) BMW had it's flywheel come loose during a trackday at Brands - didn't stop us overtaking some Skylines ( ) but it kept jumping out of gear! It had chewed the end of the crank up so badly it would't come off...so it's got LOADS of locktite up it now.
  8. Ok, I've got a pretty firm price for the new 4P157 295x26mm version of the WMS T20 caliper kits, in 55mm bore form (suits late EP82 and all EP91) it currently looks like being £474.86+vat.....only about £30+vat more than the smaller 277x25mm version! I'll be getting brackets made up very soon....
  9. Aw noooo!!! Right, someone here should grab it..... http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2906594.htm + http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.p...percharger-used
  10. Hi Lee, welcome to the club! You may like this - the 1.8 190bhp 16v lump from the Gen 7 Celica 190 into Starlet swap: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=34821 There are a couple of lads locally to me with a nice track-only AE82 I supplied a 4-pot brake kit for, thought you might like: www.ae82.net/showthread.php?2767-track-day-pics-report Starlets are like the AE82 in that they are both 4x100, but also are both a 54.00mm bore where the wheel sits, so your wheels want to be 54.15mm bore, or at least that's what any adaptor rings should be.
  11. I just got a final price on the machining and the bells will actually be £167.36+vat/pr, the increase is because I made them deeper - didn't think it would make that much difference! It'll add £50ish+vat to the kit cost as well.
  12. Thanks for the feedback guys! For what it's worth there are still three sets un-reserved in the inbound batch, so if you want one drop me a PM!
  13. I'm pretty much at the point of ordering some alloy bells + rotors, so I'm wondering what kind of numbers of people are interested in them, either to go with their existing WMS kits as a retro-fit upgrade, or as part of a kit? As a retro-upgrade they will cost approx: - £119.00+vat/pr for the rotors (273x20.5 and work with the existing T20 caliper and the brackets sold so far) - £112.00+vat/pr for the bells (6082 T6 alloy, clear anodised like the WMS brackets) - £TBC nuts and bolts (nuts will not have Nylon, they'll by all-metal Binx aerospace style locknuts) - ÂÃ
  14. The WMS kit is a 4-pot setup... Also we're planning further upgrades to fit under 15" wheels, alloy bells and rotors should happen very very soon (weeks I hope).
  15. I realised a few years back that because the V6 fits the Supra box, and the V8 fits the Supra box - and the V6 fits the transverse 3SGTE type boxes (in MR2s)....the V8 must also fit the transverse box! Turns out it DOES (Paul Woods tried it) but you need to grind a few ribs off the block to clear the driveshaft. So.....transverse V8, in the back?
  16. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-Lexus-LS-40...=item2a11de5415 = £600 Toyota/Lexus 4.0 32v V8 donor - 300bhp with all the RWD stuff. + http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-199...=item19c71e430a = ....assuming it's a manual gearbox. + http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Starlet-S...=item43a864b398 = £155 (at the mo) spares/repair Starlet. + http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/25mm-x25mm-steel...=item2a1255d218 = £20 for heaps of cheap steel box section. = (all Toyota, and just as daft)
  17. Get the resevoir 90% empty (pumping the fluid through the first caliper is fine) but NOT totally empty as it'll take a "gulp" of air if it gets too low. Then fill it up with fresh fluid, this keeps mixing old/new to a minimum. Then just bleed each caliper until the fluid coming through is fresh - sorted!

  19. We did the Stelvio in the dark and in THICK fog, I got so carsick I ate the same meal several times (couldn't stop as we didn't have the SatNav, one of the other cars did)....ikkk. Snap! Same road! Yours: Mine:
  20. Ta! The Alps are indeed epic, and the corners are all 100% win...or 100% LOSE (you'd get about 30sec to think about what you did wrong at the last hairpin as you fall off the mountain side!)
  21. Those are some serious miles! We did 2,657 last Sept ( www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=33634 ) UK > France > Switzerland (Alps) > Italy > Austria (Alps) > Germany (Nurburgring) > Netherlands > Belguim > France > UK.....did about 560 miles per day when on the move. On a less painful note we reckoned on about £350 per car/room for a long weekend to the Ring and back, all inclusive... we did five countries in one day on the way back from the Ring, left at 12:00 after brekky and were home eating dinner at 9:00 in Hastings that evening, and that
  22. Cool, sounds like a good idea - look forward to helping your car stop properly!
