Cheers dude - love the new sleeper project greatly!

Hi Jack - sorry for being slow, I'm working through catching up on an email backlog at the moment. I'll get you a proper reply ASAP!

I've also seen the 4.0 Toyota 1UZFE V8 used, as well as the newer M5's V10! :surrender: The cheap 3.5 M30 plus a (also large and cheap) Holset truck turbo can make for a weapon as well.... [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAtXMgyAfI8 Or even go "sensible" diesel... [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWr0EzJvQCc

That's really tidy! :-) My brother's got an M30 (3.5 £50 lump from the 5-series) in his E30 Touring for an easy 200+BHP, on LPG too. He's been doing loads of custom LSDs for the E30, custom ramp angles to get them to lock more agressively - let me know if that's any use to you. For wheels you can't do much better than the 15" E30 BBS, and I've got several brake kits to stuff them with (inc 2-pot rear!). Also if you get the "52mm" front struts from a 6-pot car you get bigger/stiffer shock bodies (and stiffer springs). Two WMS customers have used the Nissan SR20DET lump from the 200SX etc,

Not too keen on the metal / "slag" (tee hee) chips from the welding - might be a idea to get it acid dipped and plated to make sure none ends up in the oil?

I don't suppose the waybackwhen / archive sites were able to see it?

Well done guys!

Good to be back - I hate the PM layout though, is there a way to have an inbox and an outbox? I had mail in folders as well from memory (could be wrong), have these been lost or rolled into the conversations thing?

This is for the Midilite? The pads are only used on Wilwood calipers, no road cars. I can do them in EBC Red (£63.15+vat) and Yellow (£68.97+vat), £5.00+vat UK zone 1 p/p if that's any help.

No way! Thay BMW/driver's always been one we've watched (it had a 550bhp Judd V10 F1 engine by the way). ;)

If you can fit a 1.8 7A block, you can add the GE head and have a "1.8 4AGE" - worth doing if it's easy...

There's also www.imoc.co.uk who are basically an owners club, and www.twobrutal.co.uk which is mainly about engine swaps! (2.0T, V6 and V8 into MR2s etc!) Mk2 V6:

Hmmmmm, big seats on those valves! - If they are exhaust...probably ok as the cooling you get from the big seat on the valve while its closed and in contact with the (cooler) head is very handy on a turbo engine. - But if they are inlet....HAS to be worth getting an extra angled cut (back-cut) on there to get a bit more flow at low lift? Just a thought, engines aren't normally my thing! -

Buy the rings again from D2 (they must do spare parts?), then CAREFULLY hacksaw into the stuck ones to create a neat slot, but stop short of the strut's threads. Then use a chisel in the slot (again take your take and DON'T cut into the strut) and you should be able to stretch them, or even split them into "C" shapes. Them take them off and fit new ones. In the meantime get some Coca-cola (or other acidic liquid!) on it, it'll disolve the aluminum oxide/rust. Look up "freeing stuck seat post" on mountain bike forums via google!!! -

A hot air gun on the rings will help by expanding them off the strut a bit. Aluminium expands more for a given rise in temperature than Iron (and therefore steel...I think...) so if it all gets hot it'll still help. Get some tinfoil and exhaust wrap on the strut body thinking about it, that'll keep it cooler than the rings! (soooooo need to see this thing in action!) -
Wayhey, back again! I honestly wouldn't buy a server (unless you mean a managed server in a server farm?), it just doesn't make sense. Would you be leaving the current guys due to something lacking in what they offer (server speed / size / bandwidth etc) or because they lost your domain name?

Brakes would get my vote, no surprises there!

Might be worth looking at Sierra Cosworth and / or Uno Turbo intercoolers, both are funny shapes...? -
"Starlet" kind of makes sense for a car name! The one that always makes me laugh is the Mitsubishi Starion. Legend has it that when naming them for the west an English-speaking marketing guy was talking to the Japanese guys in the company and said "call one the Colt, and one the Stallion".... The company guy said (Japanese accent) "Thank you wery much, re rill call them the Colt and Starion!" Not sure if it's true.

If there are really parallel universes - does this mean we've created UKSC's evil twin here? I'm going back to the UKSC universe ASAP before it's too late! (pretty much means going back in time too)
