  1. Hi Ollie! I'm sure one of the Mods will sort you out with a trader section...? Or talk to Socks I expect...
  2. rasslenny - Nom Nom Nom, I like a lot! Azz - Just black, but as they are new it would be very easy for you to to get someone to powder coat them (we don't offer this service).
  3. The trouble with any form of (n/a!!) engine tuning is it's always cheaper to fit a better/bigger engine. In my case I started with the Mk1 MR2 project (still off the road), with the 128bhp 1.6 4AGE. I cleaned up the ports and the chambers, fitted Formula Atlantic size valves, did 5-angle (from memory!) seats, cleaned up the manifolds, bought a 1.8 7AFE for the block, found two-sizes oversize 4AGE pistons, sorted out a plan for the rods etc etc etc.....all of this MIGHT get me up to about 160-170bhp, with loads still to spend, if I get the time! But the standard 2.0 3SGE can be fitted for far
  4. If you up the compression too much you need higher octain fuel to avoid it knocking/pinking etc, not ideal these days....I would try to go oversize pistons in the 5E (even with 5E head and cams?) and get the valves and seats cleaned up properly (just blueprint the head really). Interestingly it LOOKS like the EP8# had a higher compression 99bhp (v.1) 4E-FE where the EP9# had the lower compression 88bhp (v.2) 4E-FE...and after '97 the (v.3) 4E-FE had 82bhp in the Starlet, 17bhp drop in total! See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_E_engine NOTE - This is google/wiki research, not first hand
  5. Sweet! I just noticed your fuel tank, that's totally unfair!!! (although I'd be worried about it all the time if it was mine, and I barely get round to washing my cars so it's probably a good thing mine are far from mint)
  6. 1,000 miles/day, that's even better than I did in "road trip mode" on the way to the Nurburgring etc!

    Wilwood vs wms

Nearly all race calipers (including WMS) won't have external dust seals, because: 1 - They tend to go brittle and crack or melt in race use! 2 - Cheap calipers need to protect their pistons (mild steel) and bores (cast iron) from water to prevent corrosion - WMS pistons are stainless and the bores are hard-anodised. The fuss about dust seals is totally overblown. We offer a full 12 month warranty on our seals.....and nearly nobody has ever taken us up on it. In fact, VERY few people EVER come back to buy new seals even after many years of use. What does that tell you? As for light brakes,
  8. Bit of an update, I've added: - Late EP82+EP92 55mm hub 295x26mm kit photos (and spare disc prices) - Early EP82 54mm hub 275x22mm kit info (and spare disc prices) - Early EP82 54mm hub 295x26mm kit info (and spare disc prices)
  9. Sounds like a good idea to me! Bit of an update, I have added: - Late EP82+EP92 55mm hub 295x26mm kit photos (and spare disc prices) - Early EP82 54mm hub 275x22mm kit info (and spare disc prices) - Early EP82 54mm hub 295x26mm kit info (and spare disc prices)
  10. It's just about possible that it's an internally collapsed brake hose - worth checking. :-)
  11. It depends which kit and what year your car is? Here are the two ranges, for early and the more common late cars: Wms Brakes For 54mm Hub Starlets (>'92 EP82) Wms Brakes For 55mm Hub Starlets ('92-'96 EP82/EP91) As of today there's one last kit avaible from this batch.
  12. I wouldn't drain the system "dry" as you'll have loads of fun with air pockets, best bet is to get 99% of the old fluid out of the reservoir with a syringe, top up with the fresh stuff, THEN then bleed each corner until you see fresh fluid. If you use a coloured fluid like Ate Blue(/red/yellow etc) it makes the job easier!
  13. Woodsport did a 3SGTE Corolla that we did the brakes on - AE101 I think? Found it, looks like it's been sold. http://pistonheads.c...eds/4054671.htm http://www.track-day...eds/4029526.htm
  14. Brakes are the first thing I ever look at on cars, I'm on Dickydan's side!!!
  15. The JZX100 looks similar to Supra, which is on the list. Both are heavy cars, so could really do with the T30x caliper to get to 300-330mm ish discs!
  16. They are here! I never get an email heads-up from this thread....it keeps "un following" itself!
  17. Looks tighter than our kits too! Hard to be sure exactly.
  18. ....which shouldn't be too long as I FINALLY had some caliper bodies arrive this morning! (I've got a heap of people to PM now)
  19. We can ship to Trinidad I'm sure! We're out of stock (have been for a while) but there are more due very soon - I can track some of the parts that are currently on their way to us at last.
  20. I'm up to my neck in a VAT return (due midnight tonight, argh...) but will spend the next day or two answering everyone to get back up to date. The latest for those that might be reading this is that we should have some finished kits ready next week or the week after!
  21. They shouldn't be needed, our kits allow about 1.4mm gap on each side (after seal springyness call it 1.0mm) - if you add a single 1mm washer/shim you'll end up with a 2mm gap on one side and a "zero" on the other, so our kits are not a loose fit either. If shims were needed to allow for Toyota's manufacturing tolerances our kits wouldn't fit - but they do, so shims shouldn't be needed by any other kits either. If a hub/strut is that bend, or a wheel bearing has failed with over 1mm of play, the duff parts should be replaced!
