K24 is the way forward if you ask me

because i still have a standard midsection the boost comes in with one big kick at aroung 5k and its savage lol! new midsection should free it up and help it spool quicker tho and lew grounding kit was form nighspirit you can get them from bidjdm tho

right this weeks update then during the week i recieved a nice little JDM box it contained a splitfire grounding kit looks an awesome bit of kit and will get that fitted next weekend then today i noticed the headlights and clear indicators are looking very dirty and horrible so i gave the headlights a nice flat and polish you can just see in that picture the dirty indicators so i took them apart and gave them a good clean and re-sealed them and its made the front end look so much cleaner and then the legends shorty and turbo grant turned up today to help me with my turbo problems they tried a few things with no luck but after about half an hour they decided to run a vac line from the throttle body to the top of the wastgate and we had boost and no more smoking! so happy and cant thanks shorty and turbo grant enough for their help, the car is fast! to say the least and after three weeks of not driving the starlet the brakes scared the hell out of me! so defiantly sorting out some 4pots now! after they left i gave the car a well deserved clean and got bored so took as many photos of the new sexy engine bay next weekend i will have a new midsection made up as my current one is restricitng the turbo so much its like a brick wall and if i have time i will fit the grounding kit and hopfully the polybush engine mount edit: forgot to mention, as some of you no my fan hasnt been working for the past year but today we also managed to sort that out so the fan is now working as it should

I no the turbo was mint in your car, I trust everything worked, as said it's something stupid I have missed, just want to hear the wastegate and screamer pipe now

Starting to give up again to be honest, havnt driven her in over 2weeks now

Fed up now! So still smoking and very little boost, I took the car to 5k rpm and had a bit of chatter but very faint Going to check the wastegate for any damage and then im stuck Hopefully shorty is coming over Sunday, I'm sure I have missed something small but no clue what so sure shorty will find it I also tried a vac line from the wastegate to the inlet mani and still nothing, what part of the inlet mani should I put it too?

for the same price you can get a brand new set of wms 4pots

Just taken all the intercooler pipes off and the airfilet off, there is no oils in any pipes and the oils feed return pipe had loads of oil in it, so I'm quite happy no damage has been done to the turbo, I also forgot to put washers on the de cat so there was a gap around the bolts Im going to re-fit all the intercooler piping and make sure it's as tight as possible then see what happens

I will check for boost leaks, but silcan ran this turbo before me without any vac lines on the wastegate and he had no boost problem

I have no boost at all and nothing coming out the screamer pipe

There is no where on the turbo for a vac line to go tho

just hoping i get the boost problem sorted, i need to take it for a drive aswell incase i have oil in the exhaust and what not aswell
