The leads were changed last year, i know this because i checked them and there not breaking down. (well its my partner thats telling me as its his car lol) and with the filter i think its seized on!!! i thought maybe it could be the dizzy cap and rotor arm as they havent been changed for 2 years nearly but it feels more like fuel starvation

Leads are all fine, If its not the filter or leads what could it be? Tried to change the filter today but the blasted thing wont come off, might have to be a garage job

Hi guys i have a problem with my Gt. once at crusing speed (any gear) my car starts to hesitate. does anybody know what this could be? I've changed the Sparks, took the fuel rail off and injectors out but still hesitating. i went to change the fuel filter today but cant seem to get it off, as thinking this could be the problem, the fuel that came out of the filter is muckky. also now slightly hunting. would be a great help if someone could help

It totally looks like a dodgey MOT, Brakes should of been picked up. but if you check DIRECT GOV . to see if your car has a MOT. it will ask you to put in the REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS number if you have it and it will tell you everything about the past MOT of even if it has a MOT. i know it sounds checky but if you cant find it. send me over your car docs number and il check it out for you...... also check your inbox

Anyone ever passed an MOT without your CAT on?
natalie_fuller replied to Taggy's topic in MOT & Maintenance
No just looked it and asked my local MOT testers and they say all 4EFTE engines are imported the only engine that is in a UK spec is a 4EFE, unless this is modified to a EFTE engine then its different. Plus been told if its a grey engine you dont need a cat test -

you shouldnt need a cat as there is no uk spec of the ep82, 91's should need a cat as there is a uk spec one -
Thats really nice i wouldnt complain for the price either if i had £4000 lol if your un-easy about the history maybe its best to check it out. some HPI check people give you 7days free insurance too
-
Try swinton insurance My partner is through them for his insurance and they are not to bad
-
If the car is over 10 years old there should be no outstanding debt on the car, but if your doing it to check previous history may its best

i think there will be a little bit of lag when putting your foot down. but i would think a bigger engine would be needed. maybe your best bet is to Have a TD04L my partner has a TD04L and he says there is a massive difference in size, over a stock CT-9
