Are you guys fasting on Sunday (Japfest)? I heard you don't have to fast if your travelling. I haven't missed one since I was a kid but I'm not sure what to do about Sunday.

Cheers guys. I can't do much work on the car because I need more space! So I am non-stop looking for a unit/workshop that I can rent out.

A bit of bad news, I snapped an ARP head bolt when torquing it up. Weird I know. I thought I may have over torqued it or done it in the wrong sequence, but I checked the settings more than once before and after breaking it! I'll get some more on order soon. Also got myself some Powerflex engine mount bushes.

Whoops yeah my first today too, can't be bothered with any work on the car!

I don't think it will hold up in long term. Race-tech Ricky said he has welded them up before without issues but the majority of others have said it's best for a replacement head as there are many who have had them welded and they fail again.

Hi guys, Ramadan Mubarak to all those who are fasting, I hope you all manage okay! For those who are not sure, this is the month of fasting for muslims all over the world. We don't eat from dawn to dusk - in other words from 4am til almost 9pm! All the best! x

Cheers guys. Some more progress.. Block ready for the head. Hours of cleaning went in to the head too, quick pic showing the valves. They had layers of carbon on them before. ARP head bolts greased up.. Head fitted to the block with the ZEP headgasket. Next is the timing and get some more parts on such as alternator and cambelt covers, then fit the engine in the car. I'm also waiting on some bits and pieces to be powder coated so that may hold me up til next week.

Looking a lot nicer already, skirts make a nice improvement!
