  1. Hey Tommy, those treats sound great. I'm sure Toyota will rob you for paint, so try a paint dealer or something like Autopaint, will definitely work out cheaper. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the goodies fitted
  2. Why you got steelies Stevie? Winter rims? Get some pics haha!
  3. Well the easiest thing to use is the rubber wheel available from Halfords. It goes on to the end of your drill and rips the glue off. Very easy and no finger hurting!!
  4. I seriously think they drive the cars like grannys when testing them out.
  5. Ive done the same to the grille on my cousins Starlet. Just fitted mesh to it like half an hour ago! Check it out in the Members Others Ride sections plz!
  6. Update! As project SR is done with, i called my cousin round to mod his EP! Just in time for next week's meet too! Front End: Debadged it Custom grille with Black mesh Clear indicators Rear: Reflets (Got them bits of tape on waiting for the sealent to dry) Import number plate Debadged (Others mods are GT alloys and 40mm lowering springs) At last the 'Standard' shitty looks have gone, thanks to the reflets and clear fronts! Also fitted a new induction kit, some universal thing!! As you can guess, all the exterior work was done by me! (Some today and some a couple of weeks ago)

  22. I'm pretty much sure you've used the same paint as me and i didn't bake it..
  23. I sprayed it this morning, easy job, takes about 45 mins, plus leaving it to dry. What you need Toothbrush (When cleaning it to get into the little grubby bits) Heatproof paint, colour of your choice Sanding paper (P600 i think) Masking tape Rachet set/12mm spanner Firstly you'll need to get it off. Theres 5 bolts on the top, and one nut which holds the spark leads down. All need to come off, including the rubber washers under the bolts. Then you need to remove the 2 nuts which hold the plastic cover on next to the cam cover (Can't remember what thats called!!) One on the front and back, rachet wouldnt work here so a 10mm spanner did it. When thats done, both the plastic cover and cam cover is quite stuck on, so you'll need to gently prise it off with a flat headed screwdriver. Once they're off, dont forget to take off the oil cap, oil breather pipe and the vacuum pipe to the inlet mani. And obviously unplug the spark leads. Now your ready to roll! Get it cleaned. I sprayed it with cillit bang and then washed it in warm water with a brillo pad. Then to get the old paint off, I used paint stripper on a tooth brush which worked perfectly between them groove things and the Toyota writing. Then some sandpaper, quite rough but i can't remember which exactly it was, and flattened the rest down with that. Next, get it masked up and paint it. Three coats would be perfect I think, leaving a 30 minute gap between each coat. Fit it back on and adore it. Hope this helps you all! Cost approx: £4.25 (Paint) £0.80 (Masking tape) £0.50 (Sand paper) Total: £5.55 for a brand new looking rocker cover. Can't go wrong!!
