Going to upgrade what have you got and opinions on a decent set up..

The standard airflow is fine you will be safe fitting the decat it's as soon as you increase boost it can complicate things especially with the stock intercooler. Best choice of decat you got! Mate it's coming to Christmas let the lad treat himself to some parts haha! I don't think my routes a bad way to go. There's nothing wrong in spending decent cash on decent parts.. £10/20 gauges and fiddling with boost levels is not ideal to me, pay for a stepper motor or a decent hks one that's been calibrated more accurate it can cost a piston if you can't afford the ecu just stay below 0.85 boost level as that's fuel cut won't have to port the wastegate with plug n play. The plug n play will be one of the best mods to do if I bought another starlet it would be the seconds thing I'd buy over

Venting to the floor is police friendly bonnet paint friendly, people throwing stuff in friendly not just boring you'd have to be careful with the weather getting in to more cons than pro's to me does look naughty though!

Personally I wouldn't bother porting the wastegate you can't go wrong buying a gauge and a plug n play for now expect to pay a good £70 for a decent gauge and £350 for a plug n play then do you mani actuator and decat all in one imo you got a fmic? The beauty of a plug n play is adding other parts it works with them to a certain extent whilst a piggy back ecu everytime you change a part need another map. Just save up it's worth it make a good difference good parts for Japanese cars are expensive you get what you paid for the sooner you realise the better or you end up going around in circle's changing bits you wish you just splashed out on properly. Plenty research and you can't go wrong do it right do it once trust me haha

Hands down for the hks that's what you should go for by the sounds of it be good for that power to.

It looks great, since having a reverse scoop when it gets warm I was very surprised at how much heat I could see coming out obviously it can't really escape with these bonnets but having an uprated mani etc you want to get rid of the excess heat just a thought for future plans.
