well guys 2weeks today till japfest!! that means 2 weekends to tidy things up! so decided to de-clutter the bay abit get rid of all the old aircon censors! before after and somthing thats been annoying me for ages but ive never done anything about . . . . . headlights! nice looking engine bay and dirty headlights so out with the spray paint! il be the 1st to admit its all fairly anal on my behalf but it doesnt half make it look better! but this time next week i will be updating with some rather sexual updates just in time for japfest

no it aint mate, beans had a white sunstrip, different wheels and no toms spoiler oh and a doobie rear!

just a thing to check for free is the earth on the ignitor, mine had a dodgy one and played havoc with the car. i took the ignitor off, cleaned all the mounting points to the bracket and also made a little earth strap to the bulk head. after doing this it was absolutly fine. like i said, its worth a try as it costs nothing to do!

my lass is doing hers this summer, and shes under the impression il go on the back of it with her . . . . . . its bad enough being the passenger in a car with her!

if only he knew someone had invented cable ties, that wiring would have been so much neater

unlucky mate, ik broke my foot at the start of the year so i know your pain! broken bones normally take around 6weeks to heal and if your carnt work welcome to £70 a week sick pay and trust me IT SUCKS!

i used to use "gunk" when i lived at my mam n dads, you can get it from halfords, its in a red tin. its just engine degreaser but pour it on, scrud with a stiff brush for abit and then hose it down. works well but might take a few times to get stubern stains out.

i did mine about a year ago with the engine in mate, its abit of a ball buster but doable. but you do have to undo the rear and left side engine mount and jack the engine up to get to some of the bolts. if i was you i would change the cambelt and everything at the same time as everything is stripped so you might aswel do it. theres a guide on tggt.

feck all interest tbh mate, and dont wana break it and have loads of bits lying around for ages, so going to keep it for summer and see what happens over winter.

Ther should b a bracket in the kit that holds the top of the cooler to the middle slam pannel support. If you aint got one let me knw because i think ive gpt a spare one.

i get it from here mate http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/, but you need the lance to fit a pressure waher to use it, ive got a karcher pressure washer. its realy good, its ph neutral so neutrlises any road acid, tar, bird crap and this time of year BUG JUICE before it eats into your laquer!

tried a heat gun mate, just steady away though so you dont discolour your headlights.

- pressure wash - hand wash with mitt - snow foam! and as for polish and wax i think ive tried and have everyone under the so i use whatever is easyest to get to on the shelf! but been useing a turtle wax detailing kit lately which is for black cars and it works realy well!

make sure the ingnitor has a good earth, mine had some of these symptons and turned out the earth points on the ignitor had corroded, so cleaned them up and made a little earthing strap to the bulk head which sorted the problem!
