Don't go there dude a just bought a forged engine 2 weeks ago paid 1500 and the bottom ends away already plus the oil pumps fucked must have been a cowboy that built it so now am needing to fund more money into rebuilding it but not to worry will get done right this time
Hello ryan just wanted to add to this if that is the engine from my old gt i apologise mate but i built that engine way over 3 years ago (i started building it in 2008), i moved to canada 3 years ago and the gt sat in my garage until may this year when i sold the gt for very cheap cause i know it had sat for so long, but i sold the whole car with a shit load of parts for it for 2300 gbp (considering the spec was a steal) but it had sat for so long couldn't justify a higher price, and in conversation with the person that bought the car i noted to him that for piece of mind cause it sat so long to replace the oil pump & water pump i have that note in my messages to prove that so the person that bought the car was fully aware it needed replaced.
so again mate sorry to hear what happened with you, i fully informed buyer of my gt of issues related to the car and how long the vehicle had been sitting and noted so in my for sale threads, so again mate my apologises.
Colin.

If it's still there got interest in it at the minute but if it falls through defo can arrange a viewing as stated I live out of country now so would arrange with family to show you.
And never got to properly boost it just got it ran in and then moved here but you see the spec of it it's ready for boosting.

And RICO you'd know I'd love to but I don't know when I'd be able to bring it here so move on and start a new project here.
-
So for late reply guys time difference, yes Shaun was not long after I met you i moved here lol.
and as said last time I know it was running was last year so for that reason I would say it would be best to be trailered.
As for the seal kit you guessed it was when I built the engine in that pic with the head off you can see the wiseco pistons the head was off so it could fit the new valve stem seals I got from kon.
at that point it had a cruise 1.2mm head gasket in it I've heard there reusable but didn't wanna risk it so put in an Athenna 1.2mm one.

this thing is gonna be a beast he is contemplating a supercharger for it and if he doesn't he is going nitrous for it lol, personally i hope he goes the blower route .
the body work on it is rough looking at the mo but tbh for a car that was made in 1973 its not too bad i mean these things are solid i mean it takes 2 to lift one of the fucking doors lol, but the plan is to strip it back to a bare shell (as not only do we have this 73 charger on the go we have a dodge dart in middle of build aswell lol its stripped to a bare shell, but larry wants to charge on with the charger no pun intended.
more pics will be coming soon the block is pretty much set up the pistons are in but my fucking ipod died on me and i couldn't get any pics and i can only work on it at the weekend cause of the baby, but hoping to have it ready for street wheelers in the summer here in lethbridge its a massive car event the whole town becomes a car show the cars drive up and down the main strip and there is a 100ft drag event this year that was held on the main road crazy canadians lol. so larry wants to try it in the 100ft. i missed the 100ft event this year but have pics of last years if anyone wants to see them ?
-
Ok guys thought you might be interested to see a build that i have ongoing at the mo with the father in law didn't where else to post this so here it be lol, if any of you have seen the programme burn notice you will see the car that the star in the show drives (michael westen) is a 73 charger the 73 charger normally comes with a 400ci engine this one came with an engine swap and it came with a 383 which is far better than the 400.
So far we're just building the engine back up the crank has been cleaned and 10thou removed (it looks brand new).
spec so far is
forged speed pro pistons
conrods in the 383 are steel rods and can handle good power so no need to uprate
Uprated bigger valves, valve seats cut.
uprated valve springs
blocks been decked, cylinders bored out 30thou actually now (439ci), cross hatch honed, crank shaved 10thou
cylinder heads skimmed
lumpier comp cam
Edelbrock intake
More specs to come here is some pics

some good ones here lol, was doing a type b service on a customers car finished the job was in a bit of a rush as i was trying to make up for my fuck up the week before lol went and jumped in threw it in reverse (without pumping the brakes) the fucker launched and smacked into the car another tech was working on behind me almost shoving it off the lift can laugh now was not funny at the time though luckily no one was hurt or not much damage was done.
and my fuck up the week before was doing a gearbox service was getting pissed off with the service advisors as they as usual were rushing us so i let rip on one of them and then the parts manager decided to pipe in with his shite so pissed me off i slammed the bonnet forgetting to put fresh ATF in and then kicked it out still pissed and not clicking what i did plus i never even put the fill plug back in was still sitting on the scuttle panel thankfully lol customer took it away and returned not happy and rightfully so lol.
