Sweeeet im guessing it just bolts up to the standard brackets?
-
Can you whack them straight in? as when i fitted my other headunit the whole lot came out (including the toyota black section) and its the size of a double din one. if i bought one would it go straight in? Thanks
-
Exactlyyy! because there shite cheap runabouts with a bigger engine. starlet isnt really is it? even my friends, majority of which have saxos and 1o6s love my car and wish they could have one. and mine isnt even a glanza? idiots the lot of them lol

You need to mention when they say there made for running back to the shops for grannies blah blah blah, say how many shopping trollies come with the option of recaro interior, LSD etc. not many is there lol
-
I dont get it at all lol. i have drove 3 saxos, a couple of 106s and been passenger countless times in them both. My initial opinion is that they felt cheap, rattly, horrible driving position, SLOPPY AS FECK gearboxes, awful clutch pedal. pedals too close together, naff handling??? what shocks me the worst is that ALL my freinds saxos,106s are rotten as fuck under the engine bay Like the skins near the strut tops etc just completely missing half of it? but its not an mot fail as its not both skins? also how the rear end bangs and shakes because of the poor suspension design. Shockingly built

1.75 Or 2inch Catback on N/A
The Toffinator replied to The Toffinator's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Thanks lads will have to get it then:) and bigman it currently has a nice janspeed backbox so the standard exhaust goes up to 2inch to fit it, so i will get a 2inch midsection so its then a 2inch catback. -

Ha knew you would say that;) did you notice any loss of power with it dude? top end or bottom end etc -
My standard exhaust where it mates to the backbox is starting to leak slightly, i want to replace the catback section but am just wondering do i go for a 2inch pipework over the standard? Thanks

*Panel filter vs Cone filter*
The Toffinator replied to ali_legend's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I had a pipercross cone on the standard intake and it lost bottom end and lost part throttle response as people have said, then i went for a BMC copy, (the plastic BMC one) and the difference was alot better, next plan is to order a carbon BMC and put the intake towards the bottom of the bay with the airbox at the top. this should hopefully be the best of both worlds. -
Tapping noise on idle
The Toffinator replied to The Toffinator's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Yeh always thought it was bugger all, even discovered that my breather filter makes a noise LMAO! of you take it off its quieter lol -
Just started noticing that when my car is at a low idle of say 900rpm, there is a tapping noise coming from the engine, like a rythmitic tick. engine runs absolutely perfect. the noise gets quiter as you tickle the throttle and when the revs rise it dissapears completely. could it be valve lifters? Thanks

Redline Lightweight shockproof
The Toffinator replied to The Toffinator's topic in MOT & Maintenance
Im guessing there a syncro type transmisson then? lol. and mate i have looked into it and they use them alot in scoobys etc as it gets rid of slight grindings and make the shifting feel better, not because its use for race use -

Perfect height man, what shocks/springs are they?

I just remember reading it in redline i think? about the basic engine being ideal for turbos as it was already turboed in another application. will have to dig it out for you man:D or better still, you can go googling for it;)
