Relocate Air Filter To Grille...on A N/a
series70boy replied to Kingcarr's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
thought so but i could put a hole in the 63mm bend and fit the fuel thingy, but will find out what it is and of what importance before i do daft things like cutting holes, i am sure it could go in the bend after the cone filter as it actually sits under the current air filter, maybe mo harm would be done?? i have a rather good mechanic next door but one so i might mug him tonight to get his opinion!!!!!! -
makes perfect sense to me i origionally planned for the rising sun to be very small on the passanger side but when i drew it up i got carried away and then just the uksc website in the opposite corner (bottom corner on drivers side coming across to about the middle) i am going to to one for my car anyways soon, using a plain black sunstrip, a hand cut rising sun and a large uksc sticker!!! this will get across what i am trying to say properly

Relocate Air Filter To Grille...on A N/a
series70boy replied to Kingcarr's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
right ho then i belive the rad to be single core and the intake at the top of the carb where the standard airbox fits is 63mm inside the airbox was something that seemed like a fuel intake valve (not sure if its is, or what the correct terminology is!!!) it is highlighted in red, i am not sure but on second thoughts it might be something to do with the manual choke if anyone could anyone shed any light on this that would be great as i am worried that it will stop me from having a new filter setup??????? thanks for all your help guys -

hi guys just seen this thread sorry to hijak it but i want to know what i should do as regards to fitting an induction kit my options were stick a mushroom filter on top of the carb or a cone filteron a pipe to the side of the rocker cover here is a pick of my engine bay with the current standard setup, if anyone wants to use paint on it to show where to put it thats great!!!!! if anyone has anymore ideas they are more than welcome -
have said in my thread that eventually i want to make this change too, and the comment that came back is an ep70 would also require a new fuel tank to do this, but on an ep71 it would be much easier although i dont know why any other info would be great though!!!!
-
oh and why would the fuel tank need changing????
-
ahh did not know what was involved with conversions on the ep70, thought it would be just like on the newer models but ahh well will have to see how things pan out anyways, it might be cheaper just to buy a glanza when it come to it, but i'm not at that stage yet so wont worry about it!!!! and yes i do like the idea of 14" watanabes but there are many wheels i like my favorite wheels for the car are work equip 03 and i also quite like bbs ra 15's thanks for all the replies!!!

hi guys things have been painfully slow with my project at the minute, literally just been keeping the dust off her!!!!!! but all is not lost i have just got me a part time job while i am at college, bringing me about £50-75 a month of starlet money (thats all i could afford to take from my camera and phone fund!!!!) will be saving up for a few touches my list at the moment is save for: alloys exhaust system (may not bother for a while and just do a jap bakbox) window tinting in the very long distance future a 4efte turbo lump or whatever is for sale at the time smaller items: wind

really like your 70, its making me consider debadging the rear, that would mean respraying the boot (allready done) i'm not 100% keen on the new spoiler, i loved the old one!!!!! but really really nice car and i love the big bore on the back with thoose wheels whats the plan with it now, or is it going like you mentioned earlier?????????? -
nice one!!!!
-
mine... all mine true love has struck me at 16!!!!!!!
-
i only put that on to cover my plate (dad is one for security on the internet!!!) although i have seen it done before and was considering getting a pair that say uksc made for shows, meets and photography sessions!!!!! if we all had some made, it would be so cool if we all turned up ata a meet and put our matching uksc plates on!!!
-
like the sound of the star stickers (would suit the cars) but without the web address some small stars will be meaningless to everyone other than club members would love to see what the graphic designers do with my idea but as i said it was only a very quick lash up!! my designs for things like this are usually more thought out (just completed my gcse in graphic design and starting a graphics course at college next week) i have quite a few ideas in regards to publicising the club through various media and merchandise oportunities including stickers. i would love to become a big part of this
-
hi guys we all want new ways to represent the club and i have noticed many of you are putting sun strips on your car!!! i think that you get my drift! i have made a very vague sort of design on photoshop its about as vague as the idea, but i think it could be turned into something nice sorry for the poor image comments welcome (on the idea )

if the stone chips have not gone to the metal or undercoat layer then clean the area with some white spirit a light spray with the original colour allow to dry or drop in the paint using a brush (will look awfull after this stage), a light sand with about 600 or 800 grade wet wet and dry to take away the excess paint (not too much preasure or you will break the paint and re reveal the chip), will be left totally smooth, but then bring back the shine with a quick coat of laquer and a good wax!!!!! the dents can all be removed for about £20, they do dent pulling suction cups in places l
