  1. looks really sweet now matey..... and the cuntom decals with no bump strips are mint.... why did toyota not do that??? do correct me if i am wrong, i know your winter wheels are off another starlet but they look sooo much like volvo wheels.... could they have been volvo wheels in a previous life????? keep up the good work, i really like this this car
  2. hi mate welcome to the club!! clear indicators will look great, and as said above removing the black side strips would be great. as for remapping the car, dont bother while its non turbo (N/A) the gains would be far too small. a full exhaust system, corolla inlet manifold (if you can get your hands on one) and air filter would be more than adequate!!! all in all the car looks great, can't wait to see some higher quality images!!!!!
  3. i would say just go for it if you cant get a tow.... and get a video!!!! it should be loud as hell
  4. nice chop miib i thought the car looked sexy in red.... that is softcore porn right there and those wheels are the lingerie that complete the look!!!!!
  5. not bad hey?????? i was quite impressed myself when i noticed it.... i had given up hope on it getting in!
  6. nice looking gauges, i'd get some of those
  7. hi guys i had emailed the readers rides department of Retro Cars magazine 4 months ago, and had no response over the past 3 months, anyway today i had my usuall look through the magazines in WHSmiths, low and behold i see my car on the readers rides page of retro cars magazine!!!!! what a shocker!!!
  8. hi all as above will this fit my ep70???????? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STEERING-WHEEL-BOSS-...=item3cafe91650 thanks
  9. they are most definatly sooted up, i try to be very frugal on the choke when i start it up (it is manual choke) as i have seen many a car face problems to to misuse of manual choke!!!!! flooding and even setting the carb alight!!!!!!! the car is due a little run, it someties goes out on a 1 mile hike when nobodies looking ;) (cant go much further really sorn off the road, no MOT and no insurance) will get dad to take it on a nice but short run soon!!!!! i will still replace the plugs and service the car, just something to do!!!
  10. film or digital???? if you want a brand new digital slr camera then you wont get one for any less than about £400 and that would be bog standard to say the least!!!!! you gould get a factory refurbished olympus pen ep-1 with 14-42 lens of ebay for £267 but if you want a 35mm film slr you could have something top of the range for that much money!!!!!! if your just after a decent digital camera then the fujifilm 'bridge' cameras are awesome for how much they cost
  11. ohh yeah i know that.... that is a very very long term far fetched idea at the moment and i know i will not be able to afford that for a fair few years yet!!!!! although, if i do want to keep the car eventually its going to have to have a large amount of money spent on it new wings, rear arches rebuilding properly and a full proffesional spray job!!!!
  12. was thinkin i may as well do it now while the car is off the road but as you say, i will see if it is more apparent when i am driving it. but i will most definatly do a full service and put the new plugs in. if it does become apparent when i am driving it that the stem seals do need replacing i will probablytake it off the road completly, buy something crap for the time being and use that as an opportunity to rebuild the car properly over a couple of years. in the long run i want to do a big conversion project on it...thats if i stay comfy financially and if the car is still worth doing up!!!!
  13. at the moment it gets driven once every couple of months just to keep it moving, max 1-2 miles, other than that it gets turned on a couple of times a week.... but when i can drive it will be my daily driver... and i will be going to work, college and runs out with mates... maybe even japfest and JAE!!!!!! how difficult would it be to do the valve stem seals for a rank amatuer, also guessing i would also need a head gasket to do that???? fair enough will just run some standard NGK plugs then!! thanks for all your help
  14. there is the tinniest bit of oil on them mate, not really loosing anything, but what seals would need replacing to stop oil reaching the plugs???? will most probably do the whole lot, as you are all saying it makes most sense i think what size/type do i need to fit a 2E engine and what price should i expect to pay for the iridiums and also a price for the standard NGK's just as a comparison. thanks for all your help guys
  15. quality dancing there!!!! thats what i thought lol at sparky
  16. hi all i'm guessing that i need some nice new plugs as mine look like this the bottom one has been scrubbed at and is still very caked up what plugs would you all recomend?????? am possibly going to change the dizzy cap and rotor arm with them, but the leads are too good to get rid of!!!!! (nearly new champion 8mm high performance leads) according to the service recepit the leads were fitted at the last service but there is no mention of plugs, dizzy cap or rotor arm!!!! also the car did get serviced just 160 miles ago but that was 18 months ago, so should i go for a full oil change and fi

  18. right then on a more positive note i got some blue led 501 bulbs for my side lights today so here we go (pics aint the best in the world) some led number plate lights to be had i think.... these have made quite a difference!!!! will be ordering some stickers very very soon too!
  19. will definatly post up the repair job everything that i do to the car will always be on here first
  20. i may have a go at that.... dad was a proffesional fibreglass formula-4 car body manufacturer back in the late 80's
  21. fiberglass....good idea that! reliant robin style!!!!!!! just really need to make it good temporarily untill i can shove a new wing on!
