  1. i left on friday, have only got 3 exams to go then i have 12 weeks before college to tinker with the starlet, hopefully i will have a job over the hols to buy me some more starlet stuff can't drive yet for 10 months but will try and get the starlet down your street sometime soon for my nan and grandad to see, then you can have a proper nosey
  2. thanks mate those cars are cool, will have something that well built and modded eventually but for now can't afford. how much is one of them spoilers, or if you tell me wich one it is or what model it is made for i will have a look. as i said earlier i have photoshopped some alloys onto my car ford puma volvo 440 will try some of them on my car for real as dad has a 440 opinions more than welcome guys
  3. hi all thanks for all the suggestions guys, i now have a plan of action: definate spray front wiper arms recover parcel shelf, current fabric has gone bobbely repaint radiator supports repaint air box (old style over engine, not plastic) black repaint header/rocker cover in car body colour repaint horn front blue and polish aluminuim panel possible fill in starlet in grill central locking kit (maybe even remote if i feel adenturous ) new air filter, keeping standard set up replacement engine oil cap (possible trd) mine looks like it has been dropped or a hammer dropped on it!!! still safe r
  4. never bought an xbox so i am still rolling the big silver ps2 box (starting to die ) i am a big player on the driving games. we should set up a competition thread, log onto arcade mode (all cars are standard so its fair) gran tourismo 3 or 4 choose a car and track then everyone posts their time for 1 lap and yes some jdm goodness
  5. thanks for your help lads but i'm thinking of spending max 50-100 quid on mods when i have my job, not only because i could do with buying a mac and a profesional slr camrea for college but also because dropping it even a small amount or putting on alloys boosts insurance loads. i will have the money for split rims and coilovers eventually, but not yet (i will have a glanza when i can afford such things )
  6. hi again help needed I am very unsure of how to make this car my own (i do own it legally), i dont have the money to convert it or to tweek the current engine. I am a 16 year old hoping to get a part time job for the 2 years i am at college, so got no big bucks, this car has been done on a tight budget, i am very happy with how it looks but it seems a bit uniform, what can i do. my main crisis is; JDM stickers suit a modded car but not my 12valve!! james p.s. when i can afford i will have a full on JDM, vtec killer thing and it will be sooooo FAST
  7. thnaks mate was initially bought as a cheap do up project, i did lnow a bit about starlets and liked them abit she will probablty be my first car unless someone makes me a good offer done up quick as it was just minor cosmetics makes sense, may have a go at it some time but am happy with the minimal grill at the moment. looking to personalise the car a bit, but standard
  8. they live at no 4 of the close your on the corner of
  9. i love most cars from about 1979 to 1997 i just love the simplicity of them and the ability to make them go like a bat out of hell novas fit into that perfect, getting hard to come by now though glad someone has bought one to appriciate iit good job mate, look after her!!!
  10. hi all quite new to the scene and have a very basic starlet a question for the future is: if i were to buy a 1.3 starlet sportif about 1997 plate, how easy is it to fit a turbo to the standard engine or for mods would i need to contemplate an engine conversion? basically are any of the non-turbo starlets the same car but without the turbo fitted? thanks
  11. finally finnished my little beast got some good-ish pics not a sleeper or even modded for that matter, a car that portrays motoring simplicity
  12. beautiful just beautiful love white glanza's, especially this one its just soo simple, fast but fresh i would love to do a glanza, in white very very fast but standard to the eye. keep up the good work mate
  13. is there anywhere for us to post before after shots for comparison, possibly a new thread or do we have to do it in our current threads
  14. my dad is a bit of a biker also, as i am 16 i thought that i would continue in his foot steps (mum stoped that ) really nice bike why don't you try and mix starlet and ninja (basically turbo it like the old kawasaki gpz750) it will go liike stink anyways enjoy it mate.... me like
  15. hi again got some more pics for you all to see talking of the engine bay being cleaned a little sticker that i did not know existed untill i used the degreaser (suffering 25years of encapsulation in grease) another bonnet sticker uncovered i have also got a picture of these rare little beauties, optional extra contrasting luxury mats designed for the starlet they came in the car when i bought it, what a bonus!!! hope you like her if any more pics are wanted from the resto or of the finnished car, i will try my best to deliver
  16. too true lol, but they could get some universal fit underglow and wahser jets with leds in
  17. hi dalester have been looking to find the location of some stoke starlets i knew that a starlet owner had moved into the same street as my grandparents, went down there today and noticed the stickers in the windows of the car. traced it back to you!!!! small world must meet up at some point and possibly get to know you, i cant drive yet for another 10 months, but when i can my starlet will be fown your street quite regular i'm sure love the car, keep up the good work
  18. any more sugestions mate??? or anyone else for that, matter?
  19. i've seen more than a few nasty saxo's in my time (i live in stoke and drive though fezzi park sometimes) stokey chavs are allways the worst and no the starlet will never become a chav car, i have proof i wanted a sterio adapter for my ep70 and failed as there system did not seem to have any parts to fit my starlet!!!! the chavs would be stuffed
  20. be sure to post the pics it made quite a big difrerence on mine, and that was not too dirty before
  21. i think that it was called all in one engine degreaser, something like that anyway (definatly £5.99 from homebase was dead simple to do; disconnect battery and remove spray it on avoiding some componants (noted on the back of the can) brush it with a cheap household paintbrush (quite vigorously) re-aply where nessasary hose off
  22. here we are then engine during cleaning nice and clean now not bad, only cost me 6 quid (degreaser from homebase) and about an hour (possibly a bit more)
  23. tried painting the starlet in the grill and it reacted with the paint on the grill already, had to strip and repaint the whole grill to get it to look that clean again..... may give it anothe try!!!! more standard 2E pics coming now for you buddy
