  1. Yes going for the full sleeper look, yes i know its going to be a right bitch with the fmic. I havent got to that part yet of putting it in so will just deal with it as i come to it lol. I have also got to get a bloody oil cooler in some where, to say its gonna be crampt behind the grille is an understatement. People have done it so must be possible. I am working loads on this build during the week after work so watch this space. I was hoping to get the engine in today, but i was so mingin this morning from going out to town and then staying up to watch the rugby at 4:30am, I wasnt in the be
  2. Really interesting this as to how many OEM extras there are! You most likely now own the rarest GT out there
  3. Here it is I haven't tidied up the wiring or anything yet, but it looks nice sat under there
  4. Oh sorry, with the ECU I used the box that it was in the GT and i rebent the two metal brackets. I then used self tapping screws and mounted it directly underneath in a similar position to the GT. I'll post up a pic now
  5. Here you go, here is how i fitted it http://youtu.be/QHSrzLnaSuM Its a tight squeeze but it goes in ok, i had to move the throttle cable slightly but its it looks good. Like you said maybe LHD are different?
  6. Are you sure, mine fits! I'll post up the video i did now of me fitting it.
  7. oh yes, no crane too! Old skool out the bottom ha ha!!!
  8. Thanks for the comments Shorty, it really does help the build along when people post up comments. Its going good though, considering i was racing around a track in it this time last week, the build is coming along nicely. Going out for some well deserved beers tonight, I would do more tomorrow but got to go do stuff with the wife!! I am hoping to get this project done before it gets bloody cold, so got a bit of a rush on, plus i really want to drive this car bad ha ha.
  9. Turns out it doesnt look like you can get the brake servo off easily in the ep82 with the engine still in, so took the engine out (had to be done anyway), been putting it off the last week as its a messy job. Anyways shes out now, just need some help to move it into the garage, its bloody heavy! I'll work on the brake servos tomorrow, for now i need a beer!!
  10. Brake Servo: Looking at moving the brake servo from the EP82 into the EP70 today so was checking out the mounting positions on both cars ready to take it out http://youtu.be/zxxYepZQEEs
  11. I am gonna be looking for coilovers for the ep70 soon, does anyone know if the coil overs on my GT are a straight swap on the EP70? Or if they actually make a specific set of coilovers to fit the ep70
  12. I am trying to figure out what the hell the parking pole does, what do you do stick a flag on it lol?
  13. I really like the colour on your ep70, wish mine wasnt bloody gold coloured!! Oh well i am stuck with the colour for the time being, but i have been considering getting the car wrapped, so could pick any colour then My build has been progressing quite well, at the stage now where i have to take out my ep82 engine, getting bloody sick of taking that engine out all the time lol How is the car running, you said its been giving you jip?
  14. My my i have been busy today Got the dash back in and the ecu is in the ep70, a foreign bit of technology for this old bird! With the electrics mainly sorted now until i can test them when the engine is in, I am considering moving the ep82 brake servo into the ep70, purely because its twice the size and will no doubt give better braking force. So i think thats my next task to do
  15. More electrical work I have just moved over the loom into the EP70 now so its now wired in for both the engine bay and also inside the car, I just need to put the dash back on which i am doing this evening EP70 (boxy starlet) 4EFTE Turbo conversion part 3: EP82 Loom Electrics install into EP70 http://youtu.be/4amELHxKJnI EP70 (boxy starlet) 4EFTE Turbo conversion part 4: EP82 Loom Electrics, engine bay&inside car http://youtu.be/gJcoVy1O1N8 I'll be glad to get the electrical side out of the way, its quite tedious!
  16. If you have just spent that much money on an engine i wouldn't be worrying about petrol money to take it back lol!!!
  17. Feck, i took em out for you this morning and i managed to drop one on my hard kitchen floor and crack the left fooking light, arrrghhh!!!
  18. Yep i got all that, make me an offer for all of it and i'll package it up for you Craig
  19. never knew that!! quality ad, bloody americans ha ha
  20. Shes a little beauty, hows its holding up?
  21. I dont think there will be much left in mine though once its stripped, so it would probably be cheaper to see if the club can pick up a cheap one with a blown engine or something.
  22. Finally i have cracked the electrical nut I have been piping on about for the past few days. I have now got the EP82 loom to start with the key of the EP70 and also the ep70's original loom will also fire up to run the cars electrics. So effectively the car will now have two looms. Thank fook for that, i was starting to go mad looking at so many wires! First test!! http://youtu.be/ol7YHovtOCI How I wired up the ignition http://youtu.be/5MQpcrv8rPg Good times, tomorrow i'll put the wiring into the EP70
