I have been a busy boy today when i got home from work and have made some progress :harhar: You are coming out today where ever you like it or not! Pics of the engine bay before I removed the engine to document where everything goes Everything disconnected from the engine, not much to remove really, you just need to disconnect the gearbox linkages and a load of hoses, its quite obvious what needs to be removed, just disconnect all the pipes which join the engine to the chassis. Engine mounts unbolted and the engine is lowered out the bottom da da, 3 hours later and the engine is out, not to bad for doing it on my own! And there she is, engine is up for sale now from this, its mint low miles 60k and comes complete with a gearbox which is also mint. These are rare as rockin horse shit, but so are the cars so not sure how long it will take to shift, but its there all the same! A good days work, tomorrow I will remove everything from the engine bay that isnt required in terms of pipes and wires coil etc and then my next task is to wire in the EP82 GT wiring into the car (what a job that will be!) I love it when a plan comes together!

I havent checked it yet, but i want to fit as many of the handling mods from my GT onto this as i can, as currently the EP70 handles like a boat, plus its got no antiroll bar nothing! All on the to do list, what has made me happy though is that i have just realised i can bin the power steering pump from the engine as the EP70 has a manual steering rack. That can only mean one thing, MORE POWER! no power steering pump pulley sucking away precious horsies Nice!

Thanks Steve, will be nice to have a car that is unique at the club meetings and also something that will be funny to watch going around the track at unreal speeds lol. I cant wait to spank those evos and see the look on their faces when this little thing fly’s past them ha ha. Only down side is looking at the rear of the cars chassis/wishbones is the car looks fairly flimsey, i can imagine the chassis is well flexible so not so sure how quick it will be in the corners Ryan: yeah thanks for the help, if you want i'll probably be taking the engine out this weekend so if you fancy getting your hands dirty Going to start on the engine bay tonight and start disconnecting everything ready to drop the engine out on the EP70. If anyone wants a mint condition EP70 1.0litre engine with gearbox which has had a new clutch, it will also be up for sale its done 60k. I'll get some pics up tonight of my handy work

Castle combe on the 10th is most likely going to be its last outing, then I am going to break the car for the conversion. So if anyone needs anything from a GT, its up for sale, except the engine, gearbox, driveshafts and hubs. Everything else can go on the car is going to be completely stripped for sale.

Wheels turned up today Although turns out the corolla tyres are a bit too tall for the car lol, car looks like it should be in a monster truck show. Tyres are currently 195 x 60 15's, going to change them for 195 x 50 x 15's and also put the coilovers on to drop the suspension a few inches, it sits so high! They fit though which is great

i just wrote my speech take a look, i think it should be ok!! Thank you Joe for your kind words, I would just like to start off by saying Kelly and I would like to thank everyone for joining us this evening, to celebrate our special day together. I can honestly say that it wouldn’t have been the same without you; although it would have been considerably cheaper! Firstly I would like to say a big thank you to Joe and Amanda for producing such a beautiful, strong and intelligent daughter, although Joe, a little warning about Kellys Fiery gene wouldn’t have gone a miss! But you can trust me when I say, I will always love her and protect her. Mum and Dad, I would like to thank you for bringing up such an incredible son and how you have always been there for me and supported me in everything I have done and I thank you for that. I would like to especially thank all the family that have travelled down from Portsmouth to celebrate today, in particular the Watsons and not forgetting Nanna Kingston for making my mum so great! Also Kellys friends from Coventry, Kerry and Matt. And Sharon, Richard and Robin from Cornwall, it’s meant a lot for us both. Becca I would like to thank you personally for doing a fantastic job on the bridesmaids and Kellys hair, its beautiful. And not forgetting my smart looking ushers today who have been doing a fine job from what I can see so far, which is mainly managing the crowd at the bar, and of course Leighton Cooper the best man who is no doubt going to pitch me in a light that you will all be proud of Kelly…. Where do I begin!!! I am sure everyone here will agree that Kelly looks absolutely stunning and I thank you Amanda for the gift of your daughter, which I will be looking forward to unwrapping tonight. On a serious note though I would like everybody to know how lucky I feel to have Kelly as my partner in life and how lucky she was 4 years ago to meet me laying down my sweet moves in our local bar mambo, just check out my dad later, he taught me everything! Kelly you’re caring, funny, intelligent and beautiful; I have had the best years of my life with you and I look forward to spending the rest of my days by your side. Ladies and Gentleman please be upstanding for probably the most important toast I will ever make, To my wife and absolute world, To Kelly Thank you everyone have a great evening and I’ll welcome Leighton

Ok Bit of an update, nothing changed on car yet but have been getting the bits together, here is the Donor Car for my new 15" Steel 2003 Toyota Corolla wheels, you will not believe how difficult its been to find these wheels through out the UK, they are pritty rare and come up once in a blue moon! Paid a pricey sum of £165 for a set of 4 delivered (of bloody steel wheels) but at least the tyres are all new. So these 15" steel rims will keep my sweet ride stock looking, but more importantly give me loads more grip compared to the 13" bicycle tires currently on it! I have also sourced a full engine loom from a 92 GT to fit into my Ep70 for £40, so that should turn up next week some time. I have got all the bits i need in my current EP82 but i want to keep my starlet driveable untill at least the track season is out, then ill strip it for the suspension and engine etc. Good times

Yep i just bought an exact same one last weekend with plans to do that.
-
Good luck
-
Wish me luck for tomorrow, i am getting married and bloody bricking it for tomorrow lol just finished my speech this morning, so bloody glad thats out of the way. I had hired two old school VW Bug and VW Split screen camper van for the wedding cars (they look really cool and retro) but the guy just rang me today and told me the gearbox has gone on the camper, argggghhh!! Talking about bad timing, maybe a white bow on the EP70 and they wont notice ha ha
-
Yeah either too loose or too tight it will, just slacken it reseat it on the pullys and tighten it up again, you should be able to make it flex very slightly when you push it but you dont want it rock hard either as that will be too tight. Good luck!

crazy stuff that, cars float alot longer than i was expecting, although i wouldnt have liked to been in that one when it went down those stairs to a sub level!!
-
Get in! Found a set of 4 in Cardiff, only bloody problem is they want £120 for the set as they come with tyres. Bit pricey for steels but these ones are like bloody gold dust and at least they come with tyres for the time being
-
Is that place still selling them for £100 delivered, do you mind if i check, to be honest i would pay that now, im sick of looking!! I found 2 of them but he wanted £30 a wheel and £20 delivery!! for two!
-
Ah yeah i know the VW G60 steelies, looked into it already and they aint particularly cheap. Talking £2-£300 for a set,
-
Ah are there 14's on this, I have to have 15's otherwise my brakes wont fit behind the wheels. I had thought all the Corollas came with either 15's or optional 16's? Obviously im wrong doh! What year of car do i need to look out for which has 15"'s on it?
-
I was looking for Corolla steel wheels all wrong on ebay, hardly any listed just as steel wheels, but if you look under Corollas being broken there are bloody loads of them If only i had figured that out after hunting around forums all day! Think i may have a set in Cardiff i can get my hands on, hows this one look http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-P...8#ht_1224wt_905 How much do you rekcon i should pay for a set of 4 steels too?
-
Its at the bottom left of your screen under the UKSC keyrings pic on the left, see it "BHP/Ton Table"
-
Was just wondering if these would fit, but the specs are way off It looks like there may be light at the end of the tunnel, just found a bunch of Corollas being broken not to far away, please have some rims!!!!
-
Its turning into a nightmare trying to get some 15" wheels for this bloody ep70!! that chart says there both 35 to 42??
-
As you have guessed im looking for steels, would these Renault Megane ones fit? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Megane-MK2-2005-...4#ht_726wt_1139 Acording to the chart here http://www.carlsalter.com/wheel_fitments.html it says they should but the bore size is larger, will that make a difference?
-
I dont think the NA boys will have any trouble, only prob with turbo cars at those sustained speeds is that they cook them selves!
