my plans are to get it checked
thanks for the advice though mate!

What type is it? I don't even know the make! Lol well since I turned it down I've not heard it pop once. Lol so that must be a good sign and it certainly drive better as well. Feels a lot more pokey

Water pump and again go for a kit I got mine from Idrees. No problems at all

This is the FPR that's installed on my car I have turned the pressure down. I waited for half an hour and the pressure didn't drop from 20 PSI so I just assumed the gauge was knackerd. I turned it down assuming that 20 psi was "zero" but I must say the car ran far better than usuall. It just felt asif it wanted to go all the time. Hopefully this enough for you guys to identify what FPR this is. I apologise in advance for the dirty bay
lol

Ill get pic of it and post up soon
I'm pretty sure it's a cheap one. Looks it anyway. Could be wrong!
-
I did think that aswell because that just seems way to high to be true yet it could be true. So I need another method of checking it. Anyone got any ideas?
-
No brand Unfortunatly it just a cheap one by the looks of things. I'm going to do that Adam then ill feed back with what happens.
-
Unfortunately I only have the items that are fitted to the car, as I brought the car how it is. Can I not just adjust the FPR back to the standard pressure?
-
If I get rid of it where do all the pipes go :s or is it just a case of Removing the pipes aswell, I assume its just sat on a t piece?
-
I am not planning on upping the boost anytime soon I just want the car to run normal lol if I turn the nut on top of the FPR will this adjust the pressure? I will just turn until its back to 2.3/2.4 bar.. Is that correct?
-
Oh right I must admit I just assumed it would stay there and just left it to that
No need for a FPR if your running standard boost, does it have a gauge? What pressure is it reading?
Standard fuel pressure is 2.3/2.4 bar.
If standard fuel pressure is 2.3/2.4 bar why is mine reading nearly 4.5bar :s (assuming it does drop to zero) that just seems WAY to high for a V running standard boost and surly unsafe/causing more damage?
-
I have checked the readings on the FPR, at idle its was reading 64 psi which is around 4.5 bar :s and I thought this cant be right so switched off the car and the gauge still read 20 psi. I am now confused surly it doesn't hold pressure when switched off? Or do I just measure the difference between 20 psi and 64 psi which is 44 psi. Can you guys tell me anything about these readings?
-
^^ lol yeh I know it's nice but not normal
I just want it to run nicely! It does it all the time in 1st and second and sometimes in 3rd! I must admit its nice but just want it to drive how it should
-
Could it suggest the ring lands are going? It's probably bit to early to know but could this be signs? Where is the ECU on the Glanza? Behind the glovebox?
-
I will have a look when I go to the car,
It was fitted when I brought the car. I have thought about roving it. Do you suggest I remove it?
-
I am running standard boost,
My mods are: FPR, FMIC, relocated air filter. All the other mods are not engine related.
-
When I let the engine run down mainly in low gears for example 1st or 2nd and sometimes 3rd. my exhaust pops. Does this suggest that it's over fuelling? What else does this suggest? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeh mine did do it an I done the same, replaced the driveshaft on n/s which the noise has now gone but my o/s still does it. So looks like i need to do o/s as well. Glad you sorted it though mate bloody annoying when you don't know what it is.

Did this get cured? I have the same problem my glanza.

I am in the process of trying to source a company close to me with a wideband tester. I work for a Volkswagen dealer and we haven't even got one! I had it on the gas analyser and I have been told that the car is running rich still. Unfortunately I don't have the stock FPR so I have sourced another one of the same spec (new) because it will at least give me a correct reading on the gauge! There is a guy in my area with a 600hp supra so I am just in talks with him to see If he knows of anyone with a wideband. I will feedback with any info that I get!
