  1. Blitz gets my vote. Easy to set up. Has a nice warning and safty feature that lowers duty cycle when boost goes over the set amount. Just a heads up, Mac 35A solenoids(which are used by nearly all boost controller manufactures) work on the blitz units as well so replacement solenoids are easy to come by. Also to the OP. As far as im aware, no boost controllers allow you to just put in a set amount of boost and be done with it. Boost controllers work by duty cycle and are not true closed loops systems.
  2. Own a turbo'd 5 door starlet. Keep seeing this silver Glanza S around Streatham Vale too.

    Zeldoz

Asked if he had a oil return pipe and he quickly replied. Dispatch and arrival of the pipe was as quick as his PMs. Very good!
  5. Quick to reply to my emails and any questions I had. Item dispatched and arrived (fully tracked) on the day he said it would. (Paid 22nd and item arrived 24th). A pleasure to deal with!
  6. The PLX really is a good bit of kit. Using the narrowband emulation which works flawlessly. No need for any free air calibration as well. I'm from SW London. If you've seen me around Kent, It's probably me visiting my cousin in Erith or heading to DMS.
  7. Wow! It's been over a year. Been really busy with work but have managed to get a few little bits done here and there. Also did a track day at Brands Hatch with a friend and his MX5. Only thing I need to change now is the breaks. Can only complete 3 or 4 laps before the brakes became useless. The remap last year didn't go to plan unfortunately. The stock actuator just didn't hold boost and dipped as low as 0.6 Bar. This has been remedied with a HKS adjustable actuator and now running 0.9Bar till redline PLX SM-AFR Wideband fitted so I could remap and adjust fuelling myself. Works
  8. I've had some Philips Xtreme Power +80% bulbs in the car for 3 years now. Surprisingly they haven't blown but they have gone dimmer and yellower. TBH, I should have replaced them last winter, I've no Idea why I'm doing this now. Did some research on the internets and started reading about relay harnesses that enable you to run the bulbs straight off the battery/alternator with minimal voltage drop. In order to get electricity to the bulb, wires run to the bulb from the fusebox, into the dash through the stalk switch, then back out through the firewall into the bulb. Thats a ver

    Matts

Another thumbs up for Matts. Well wrapped and kept me informed when the item was posted. Item arrived the very next day!
  10. I was behind you and flashed my lights before you bombed it down the straight.
  11. Yep, Thats me Wish I could come but I already taken holiday leave for this event. Not too sure how long I have to wait before I can put in my request for another few days off. I raced it. Although I think it was just toying with me. Heard he set a high 8 even. http://www.facebook.com/v/10151208877984251
  12. The strip is really tricky, my best time yesterday was a 16.1 @ 85MPH. My gearbox just didn't want to play. Had to leave early to get my MOT sorted, but here are a few pics I managed to snap.

  14. Put my name down please i'll pay when i get my pay check at the end of the month if thats okey.
  15. Started prepping the car for a remap over the past few days. All that needs doing now is to change the spark plugs to a grade 7, do an oil change and and fit the decat. How it looks now. I was actually meant to have the remap done today, however a remapper (who I won't name as he isn't here to defend himself) has been messing me about. We decided on a date and he said he would email be back what time he would be able to do it. It's been about a week and no reply, even after sending a subsequent email. He obviously doesn't want my business so I've decided to look elsewhere. I've since cont
  16. I used my old one. Had to cut mine a little at a time with a stanley knife and a little copper grease on it to persuade it in. Once it goes in enough, stick a small spanner handle or a screwdriver through one of the mounting holes and pull it through.
  17. Gorilla pod. Wrap it around the passenger headrest, rollcage, rear view mirror, etc.
  18. Club stand or not I'm defo going just to beat my time from last year. Already handed in my holiday notice to take time off work.
  19. Ohhhhhh a fellow Londoner. Welcome! Which area you from?
  20. Dam nice job. The before and after shots speak for themselves. Out of curiosity, What did you use to get it so clean? Just elbow grease and a rag or was it some sort of degreaser / cleaner?
  21. Weather been real bad lately. Some weird drought we are having. Anyways, I've been hoarding some parts and I've now got a mountain of parts to install but can't because of this stupid weather. New SS manifold and decat. The SS manifold I'm only fitting as a temporary part whilst I port the stock cast mani, I know it's only a matter of time before it cracks. Also got a Walbro fuel pump, boost controller and tachometer to install. The car is also due a service and I've got 4L of 10w40 Motul 300V oil waiting with some NGK heatrange 7 Copper plugs. Looking at MetOffice, I don't think the
  22. Belong to anyone here? Spotted at 3:30pm when I was filling up at the shell station. I tried to catch up before it turned right onto Oldridge Road.
  23. Got a GReddy e-Manage Blue wired in and ready with no map on it. I've spoken to my tuner and it's perfect for my needs. Power wise, I've no idea. I'd be very happy with 150 ATW. But it's a Dyno Dynamics RR and I've been told to underestimate to avoid disappointment. Thanks! I may get promoted at work within the next few months so suspension mods are not off the cards just yet.
  24. Small update. Wheels fitted. Don't look so bad in black. The handling and grip has gone up tenfold. I can only imagine what it's like with new shocks and springs or coilovers. On the downside, going from 165 70R13 to 195 50R15, the ride isn't as comfy and you feel more bumps on the road. Currently awaiting new mani, decat and boost controller in the post. After it's remap time, ready for JapShow. @micrat: I was considering that mod after your post. But after installing the new tyres, the wheel spin is now very minimal. I might just get them and slap them on just for the strip And some
