  1. Thanks. I hope it works well too. It was built for a paseo(who's engine bay is about 4-5" longer) so there wasnt enough room to put the T3/T4 on it, but I think the response from the smaller t3 will make me happier in the long run.
  2. Will do. I am waiting on a new turbo fangefor the downpipe so I can build the new one. There was not enough room to keep the 3" downpipe, so I am building a 2.5" one.
  3. *UPDATE*Well I have been out on a busy with work and gave the wheels to my powdercoater to get done, and I got them back yesterday and got the tires put back on today, and back on the car. They were media blasted and then powdercoated the same colors that I posted earlier. The centers were done in Matte black and the hoops were done in gloss white. All 116 of the original chrome Rays stamped bolts were polished and reinstalled. And here is the result. Opinions please. Also got rid of the dying HKS turbo and cracking stainless manifold and picked up a top mount BYP T3 manifold and a Gar
  4. I may be the only person on the face of the planet to say this, but I don't like it. I like the rear end, but the front end looks like crap. but that's my opinion.
  5. I had side skirts shipped to me VIA DHL and they did a great job, and they arrived 2 days after being shipped and in great shape.

    Which 5e?

the block is the same on all of them, the rods and pistons are different, but all the same block. the crankshafts are the only thing different, all are the same size and use the same bearings, but the crankshaft from the toyota sera's 5efhe is forged steel, it is stamped 5e whereas all the other 5efe's crankshafts are cast steel, and are stamped 3e. the heads, are also different but only on the distributorless 5efe's from 1996 and up paseos and 1995+tercels
  7. over here in the US, I pay about $3.90 per gallon for 92RON which is premium in washington state. that equals about £1.58 per Liter. V-power just got over $4.00 per gallon for premium.
  8. smart man right here. WHP is the way to go with numbers. that 394 was WHP. I'd love to know more about the 4efte doing almost the same power with only 23psi. could you link me to a build thread?
  9. 438bhp isnt the highest hp 5e either........ there is a guy here in the us who made 394WHP on 29psi, and he's still working on getting more power. http://board.tercelonline.com/viewthread.p...&pid=433601
  10. nice pic and well deserved man. keep up the good work.
  11. I got my first gun when I was 15 and it was a red rider bb gun .177Caliber then when I turned 16 I got a Daisy Powerline 1000S(1000fps .177Cal pellets and darts.) when I turned 19, I joined the navy and now get to shoot an M16, a Mk43, a M500 12 ga shotgun, and a 9mm pistol. also I have had the pleasure of shooting my stepdad's collection of darrengers, and my youth minister's Winchester 300Mag.
  12. I've got an extra one that I'm not using that Ill be more than happy to sell, but I'm in the US. If you're willing to pay shipping, I'll be more than happy to sell it. for a reasonable price.
  13. Could be a number of things. Could be bad gas, with a lower RON or possibly timing set wrong.
  14. So, while my ps3 is updating, I figured, I'd share some more knowledge, it may be known to some, if not, most, but here it is for all. What's the difference between an ep82 4efte and an ep91 4efte? well that answer is very easy. Aside from a few sensors that are different, the rods are also very different, they are the same length and use the same bearings, but the thickness is what is different. on the left is an pre 1995 ep82 4efte rod and on the right is a 1995 ep82 and ep91 4efte rod, clearly, you can see the difference. The 5e's on the other hand have many more differences. there are t
  15. A common problem if you run an engine un-tuned is detonation(combustion before the piston is at Top dead center, caused by timing being too far advanced for the engine). Detonation causes a shockwave throughout the cylinder and the pressure escapes through the weakest point, which in the stock E-series engines is the piston's "ring lands" and breaks them. When you take the engine apart, you will only see a few tiny cracks on the side of the piston between the piston rings, but behind that wall, those cracks are connected, exposing the crankcase to the full onslaught of the cylinders pressure,
  16. bump, I play too. psn name is tersplat
  17. happy birthday man, had my 21st yesterday, that was fun
  18. That all depends on how you drive it. even driving it very conservatively, it wont last forever, because it is going to slip some no matter what, but the easier you drive it, and the less you slip it when stopped, the longer it will last.
  19. I use paint.net. it's a downloadable free software comparable to photoshop, but a little more basic.

    EPIC!!

wow, that is simply amazing. Wow
  21. I'm running a gt2835R, response is great, 15psi before 4k. but a td04 at 20+psi would be truely epic
  22. Went today to Facetuned in Tacoma, WA. Tony welded me up some beautiful intercooler piping. It looks amazing. Also he welded up my Tial 50mm BOV which also looks absolutely amazing. I also got a new radiator and slim fan. Its a dual core CX racing one. tomorrow I'll go look at a blue Sparco Torino seat, but I dont know if I'll get it, because I want a set of Sparco Milano's.
  23. or ring lands on the pistons, thats the problem I've had before and am having now.
