haha mate I will never give up! I even find the hunt for the parts fun but I wallet hates it! It's all worth it. Need about another £1000 worth of little bits and then the rest is just the engine work. Just trying to think how I can convert my clutch to a fluid one as I got a cable clutch
What about an aftermarket pedal box? The tally spec ones etc. That mount a reservoir pretty much in the car.

That RX7 HAHAHA

I think this wins at being 'rare'.... This is even a 'Rare Genuine Toyota' as if a Toyota wouldn't be a genuine Toyota....

then sold and up for sale a week later from a different person...

I love it when a cars advertised as a track car because some numptys hoofed out the back seats! I wonder how long/far a set of Perodua budgets on 14" steelies would get you around Castle Coombe
'Hi chaps, I've taken the back seats and carpets out to make my car a track special. As the 0.01 of a second it shaved off my lap time was definitely worth it!'
Some of the 'rare' optional extras being punted around do make me laugh, there was a chap on here last year trying to sell an Air Purifier for circa £500. Utterly nuts.

man they left the lotus twin turbo behind i cant get over that i would love to have 1 of them
i thought it was good ecxept the football hooligans on the end
Seconded, watching that Lotus take a battering made the show a little painful to watch! I love those things.
Ahhh Argies, get over it chaps the Falklands are ours.
-
Would ye commonly use it or just when your stuck for a certain part or wany it new etc?
I use him whenever I get anything from Japan now. Import tax has always seemed like a bit of a lottery tbh!
-
Worth a look aswell, if you order from there Nathan will email you ref what you've got, or fire him an email pre order. Good value in terms of charges etc.
-
Yeah theres no way id be spending 8k on that. Postman pat had a similar car except his was red.
Hahaha killed me.
-
Decent setup TD04 240bhp+ with quick spool is more than enough for most people.
For quick spool I'd go TF035 personally, then if the engine ever does get forged upgrade from there. Underrated turbo.

I wouldnt say merry, im working a 12 hour shift atm
Could be worse I'm nursing a hangover!
Merry Christmas!
-
Merry Christmas mate. I'll pass on the freebies mind.
-
Currently awaiting Father Christmas in Perth, never done an Aussie Christmas before.
All I know is it's fucking hot
Rumour has it santa has boycotted Oz since 1986 after a serious incident involving rudolph getting jacked by 3 kangaroos. Don't get your hopes up.
Bah humbug to the lot of ya.
-
that looks terrible !
But it's a genuine R8 bodykit! Haha
-
Anyone fancy a genuine R8? Actually laughed at that.
Anyone else stumbled upon any horrors lately?

Tbh,outside of the vag group your options are pretty limited, top of my head things to look at;
1) Renaultsport Clio 200
2) Abarth Punto
3) Colt Ralliart
4) Corsa Vxr
5) Golf GTI Ed 30.
Small engine doesn't necessarily mean cheap running costs. I'm getting an average of 34mpg out of my Clio 182, reads 36 on the dash!

My God... I was watching the classic tango adverts a few days ago! Lotta time for that.

I think MOST reliability issues stem from people messing with them!
Mine was solid as a rock until i got it mapped by TD then within a month the bottom end went and then a month after that it melted all the pistons... lol.
Since then it's had a total overhaul and been mapped by a very reputable mapper (will at RDT) and it's spot on now!
Seconded. 1st one only ever had one issue when the vacuum hose popped off the actuator firing me Up to 2.5 bar in less than a second!
2nd V was left with a mate while I was working abroad, he attempted to slap the injectors in off my Altezza, for a better spray pattern apparently. Just resulted in a monster petrol leak.
Aside from that they were pretty damn bullet proof! Especially in comparison to other motors I've had ranging from BMW's and Alfa Romeos to DC2's and Satria GTi's. 4EFTE was solid.
I remember when your EP82 melted the pistons, bad day for the site I love that motor!
-
I dunno if I'd be terrified of taking it again or not... But I want to just to see what will happen! Haha

Some Russian birds gave me and a friend x50, had 3/4 tokes and then BOOM!
Loads of tiny elephants were squashing me. I was sat there like; Fuck. Lads get em off! Elephants vanished and I thought the apartment was tipping over so I started grabbing shit like his toaster and almost pulled the fridge out of the wall trying to get it to the tipped side.
Mate did it, thought he was in the sea and started front crawling on the laminate.
Mental shit.
-
The worst bit is, you know the owners think they're the tits!
-
Make it public, companies hate this. I'd post up the story on HP's, Googles and PC world's facebook/twitter pages.
Free to do and generally causes a bit of a stinker for them.
