Need to do an oil change this weekend and just wanted to know if I can get a sump plug from any motor factor rather than waiting for one to be posted? Or, can I re use the one I have?
im sure most oldskool toyota sump plugs are the same try your local scrapyard as i got mines replaced from the scrappy as well as my oil filler cap...dont quote me on this but i think they both came off an mr2

Ok here's the problem first of all the car wasn't idling right always seemed like it's struggling when sat still in some cases had even died out and now the cold is here and I flick the heating on the problem is worse and now within the last few days smells like it's running rich like an oily fumy smell any ideas ?
Check the following,
King lead (any kinks or splits are connections in good condition and not coroded)
Dizzy (check for cracks and make sure all leads are plugged securely)
Thermostat,
ht leads and plugs,

how much is millers and would i find it on opie oils?
I work part time at an M.O,T garage so i get it at trade price so i can afford to us it all the time,
I think its approx £55-£60 for 5Litres,
Im sure Opie does it aswell,

is this oil any good for glanzas?
Shell oils are good quality just like their fuels a bit pricey tho, personally i would use millers
-
the glanza gearbox takes just under 2litres and the gt gearbox takes about 2.5litres
that sounds about right ^

check for boost leaks 1st...make sure all your vacume hoses are ok and not split,
also check yor intercooler piping joins and make sure the jubli clips or clamps are tightened properly,
-
if your looking to run high boost i would use arp head studs rather than arp head bolts as they alot more reliable for higher boost levels,

ive been looking into these have heard these are pretty good but cant find a sensible/reputable mapper
dastek unichips have been around for a long time....go to their website to find authorised dealers and mappers.
My mate has his integra mapped on dastek some time ago and if im not mistaken he paid less than £100

1.2 bar on a ported ct9b all day long i been running this boost pressure for ages now and it still pulls really well no smoke...no joke lol

ive had my dump valve apart and cleaned as it was an old one i had off a mate, its working fine as far as i can see! im not loosing boost so worse case senario is shaft play in the turbo otherwise i have no clue?
did you re-graese the piston and sleeve on the dumpvalve when cleaning it? as this can cause it to stick open and close on and off boost

so whos definatly coming? as i dont wanna be the only one that turns up

Hi My glanza has a bit of an idleing problem, when started it revs to 2,000 rpm and then after a while drops a bit and raises again.
Would this be because i have a Toyosport decat pipe with no Oxygen Sensor ??
Any solutions to get it idling better ??
Clean out your idle controll valve and also check for any vacume leaks,
Hope this helps!

Thanks guys for your help.
Is there a good way to fit the seals back in?
Its a simple fix,
take the rocker cover off and push the new seals in, i would use a hight temp silicone paste aswell to insure the seals are air tight
-
I have noticed a little bit of oil seeping from the underside of the dizzy, is there some sort of seal or washer in there that could be causing the leak i have not taken it off to have a look as i dont want it to mess with the timing,
