Think I just bought the same springs as those, nice work

Some fun roads around here. I deliver pizza in it. It's surprising how much faster, smooth and reliable it is over the old girl, but it's not the same. The things I have done have helped add character and make it quicker, I can hear the fuel pump at traffic lights because the back seats are not there. The suspension is terrible as standard. I actually started being more attatched to it after the sand paper met paintwork, it was just too plain before. I now clean my car with Flash wipes and rainwater!

Coilovers, boost and rollcage. All pending a better job!

998 Racing Green, 3.44 final drive with a Cooper Free flow exhaust manifold. Handled like Minis usually do, it was superb. Was sad to sell it but the engine was a bit knackered, 100,000 miles takes a lot out of them and I wasn't able to fix it.

This is my Sporatif. Short term I want to rat it some more and get that right. Long term I want to prepare the chassis for a 5EFTE. Wasn't too happy with it having come from a classic Mini, but with the wheels off an MR2 and Parada Spec 2s it's pretty fun. It's got nothing inside it, the bonnet, tailgate and wings are a work in progress to rust and it's due to be lowered. Replaced the intake resonator with a bottle cap, got an HKS filter but nothing else at the moment. A friend's Morris 1275 My sadly departed Mini

Fantastic car

I've been wearing these for a few months without trouble. The font is smaller, but I've been tugged and nothing was said. Japland size too http://www.ebay.co.u...#ht_1231wt_1031

How much for the standards posted?

Change of plan, not going to get low

If you're still looking, I went for cheap 15s and bought a set of MR2 alloys. The offset is wrong so they don't sit flush with the edge of the arch, they ought to have spacers for a Starlet but otherwise they fit. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-MR2-Alloy-Wheels-/190663863181?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item2c6473ab8d

Well impressed with this, good job!

They're ideal, you still got them?

Just snapped a spring on my NA, need some quite urgent. Decided against lowering, standard ones will make my shocks last longer. So best price for a set posted or collected from around East Sussex. Cheers

N/s rear light posted please mate?

Toyo T1-R Proxes vs Yokohama Parada Spec 2 vs other recommendations
Cultist replied to P44YNE's topic in Alignment & Alloys
I haven't bought spacers yet and the rims are 45 offset, otherwise I would run them more evenly -
Nicely done mate. I am going for a similar budget build on my car. They're fun little motors

Toyo T1-R Proxes vs Yokohama Parada Spec 2 vs other recommendations
Cultist replied to P44YNE's topic in Alignment & Alloys
I run Paradas at 35psi and 40 psi front/rear. In my n/a I can only unstick them when I slam on the anchors, wheels will hop before they spin -
I had no idea they were staggered...

I've just bought a set of Mk 3 MR2 alloys for my N/A. Correct bore size, ET45 15x6 195/50x15. Rubs a little at nearly full lock, only when reversing left. Handles much better

I'd love to stare at one of those in my car

Present! Look out for a boggo EP91 next to a brace of Civics. I'm booked in with a mate's club from Nottingham but I'm driving from Hastings.

I intend to keep the rest of the suspension (apart from an anti-lift and a rear ARB) standard at this stage of tune. Because the bottom of the car is closer to the bottom of the tyres, under full compression won't this pull the bottom of the tyres past the bottom of the car? Or will the standard bump stops work all the same regardless of wheel diameter?
-

I was thinking this. I can't afford to do much but smaller tyres and either a red or black rattlecan on the alloys would look cool, but it's the handling gains I want. My only concern is bottoming out. Will the stroke need to be limited somehow? Is there an easy way to do this?

Has anyone fitted these to the Sportif wheels? If so is it a cheap and cheerful way to lower and improve handling? http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width...p;Submit=Submit
