Hi, looking at a mocal oil cooler fitting kit on ebay and was wondering wether its worth running one. My engine is forged and gunna be running about 300bhp. Its more for looks than anything else tbh i want it to sit next to my air filter in the grill but i want to make sure that its not going to cause my engine any issues like high pressure low pressure too low temps etc etc whats peoples views on them? Also it has the option of a 80c thermostat? Anyone got any views on these? Are they worth it etc?

I ran a jam ecu with a stock fpr on a ct9 @ 1 bar for about a month and the ran the same ecu with the same regulator for about 6 months on a td04 setup @ 1 bar it made 230.5 @ 1 bar and fuelled perfectly. My personal opinion would be that you are safe especially after jezza said that that ecu worked spot on for 7 years with a standard fpr however if you are still unsure stick it on a dyno they will tell you if its fuelling right and you will know how many pony's your cars got so you can brag to all your mates ;) Jordan.

Hmmm i think splitting it into two halfs would be a bad idea as most parts fit both cars. But putting tags next to them or even different colours could be an idea?

Anything else I need for my td04 conversion

If your going down the fpr and fcd route then i would personaly take it to a dyno and get them to make sure its fueling right etc if you do this then in my opinion you will not need an afr -
Where abouts are you at?
