Lovely V welcome!
-
As in the first pic cut the front face off from an inch below the bolt. It's not a square pole it's 3 sided meaning you can get a saw or grinder in

Prove me wrong!

Personally id keep the bar. If may not be strong but it helps disperse the energy from an impact to other structural areas. Yes you can hack saw it. Remove bumper and you have access. I angle grinder it in 30 seconds done! See image below. Where the top bolt is on the match cut about 1-2 inches below as you need that bolt to mount the front mouth too. Then cut all the way down; Then look closely under the bolt, you can see 1-2inches before I made my cut! That was the only thing stopping mine coming up for a nice fit!

If only that pod fit a v!
-
I do like them, but I can't see it looking great on a silver v

The pipe with the brackets bolts to the front subframe. It won't align so forget about it fitting. I fitted thus same kit 5 weeks ago or so. This is the long route kit
-
Yeah if you do it legends way. But your severely regret it if you had a small bump. Would ruin the core and turbo behind it as the core would take the hit not your bar... Entirely up to you how you fit it! There's no right an wrong!

It supports the bonnet latch. No, just the bit that's sticking towards the front of the car, this will allow it to slide up behind the crash bar meaning it won't hang out like mine did after fitting, then drill a hole and bolt it on, or reuse the lower bonnet latch bolt. Mine didn't fit without doing the above, but yours could be different, I doubt it though!

Fitted the same kit to mine. To get it sitting perfect your need to cut abit of the bar that runs from the bonnet catch to the bottom sub frame. This allows the core to slide up behind the crash bar. as it's a bjg core without doing this it'll hang out below the bumper like mine did. See my build thread for reference mate pics there.

So today I pulled my finger out in the pissing rain, put the v in the garage and finished of the FPR install. A pic half way through running the return line.. All finished and plumbed in; Set the pressure to 2.5bar, which is I believe 0.1 over standard? As I'm unmapped I decided it would be best to run it slightly richer so atleast it's not leaning out. Next up I had a issue with the seatbelt symbol constantly illuminated. It would flash constantly at me. I checked the obvious and straight away found no sensor under my seat, no idea why. There's one under the passenger but not on min

Exactly. To be honest it doesn't do any justice to people like us. But are all under the boy racer umbrella weather we like it or not. It's just a shame you get helmets booting it around built up areas who don't give a flying fuck for anyone else's home. Nothing worse than hearing some toe rag booting it in a N/A corsa. It's a shame if someone made a good effort at showing why we are into cars it may do some kind of justice. Instead all just the worse part.
