As appose to the dashboard is that essential? I ideally want the simplest of conversions! The wiper stalk, are they easily interchangeable? What if I wasn't to change them? Lewis

So, come the end of the month i'll be purchasing a 4E-FTE engine as the major item I need to check of my 'To buy list'. The parts will be bought over several months and converted in may. So there's going to be a lot of parts missing from this list, so I need people to fill me in! The spec is a COMPLETELY standard 4E-FTE. Just to make sure the engines healthy ect.. So what I new from my knowledge; -4E-FTE -Glanza ECU -Glanza Wiring Loom -Glanza Dashboard (This is for plug & play loom swap, is this not 100% possible on a N/A dash?) -Glanza Dials As far as I know I can use my N/A gearbox?

Looking at a set of Glanza dials on eBay and I'm wondering what's the kind of work I need to do to make all the gauges work...? I.e.. Speedo,Rev counter, Fuel and temperature? Is it a case of plug & play? Or is it more complicated? Hopefully someone had already done it and can shed some light! Lewis.

That is possible yes, but me being a perfectionist I would love to make use of the OEM switch which I have with them.. You can easily wire them to ignition so when it's on there open and off they close. It looks like that's what I'm going to have to do In fairness..

Right thanks lyle! I was actually hoping instead of having them Work of the ignition, intact they can be made to work as per usual! I.e from the switch ect.. Any other input!?

I was hoping the Glanza loom wasn't needed or a relay. Was kind of hopin some kind of bodge could be made, spading the connectors ect... Surely from looking at wiring diagrams, you can see what the colour of wires do and therefore cut and splice them jnto our own 'mini loom' Lewis

Bought some Glanza electric folding mirrors! From Socks! So I'm baffled as how to make these works as in guessing in the Glanza it would have the existing plugs which plug into the mirrors then into the switch... I have two pictures with the back of the switch, and also the wing mirrors plugs. How could I make them work?.. Would appreciate the help! ... Thanks

Can someone please shed some light as to why its costings you both next to nothing!? I know the V is all swapping straight over, is it literally pull my sportif loom out and replace with the V and new wiper stalks ect..? The only thing that theroetically need splicing is ignition?

Personally id like to budget around £800-£1000 and do it on the SEVERE cheap. Have it running as a completely standard 4E-FTE fix any niggles and go from there..

Yeah thats very true. So i should forget about the stupid ebay £800 ones? I'd like to buy a smashed glanza, but still they hold there value becuase of the breaking value.. I was looking into buying running GT Turbo's, can pick them up for under a £1000... and there easier to convert with the looms (I've read) Wheres the best places to find engines? I havent seen any for the kind of price range..

Basically i want to begin saving to turbo my sportif! Im looking around on eBay and most the engines are from the same braker and vary between £800-£900... They seem to be demanding there own price because there the main eBay seller of engines.. Whats your personal opinion? Do you think there overpricing and i shouldnt pay that much for the engine? What would be my best option in buying an engine? Only interested as im making a spreadsheet up to cover the overal costings and to give me an idea of how much i need to save! Lewis.

Got it back from te garage today! Apparantly doing my seats were a tricky job as if was fiddly to strip them down and cut away the reclining mechanisms and leave the bare brackets in a usable sliding position! Happy with how it turned out got a few snaps none quite do them justice I'll get a side frame shot later too! What to you all thing? Brand spanking new seats and harnesses!

Yeah that is bons old car, and he's a top guy! Still talk over Facebook about starlets with him! You think the scoop would be better silver? I was kinda going for a black theme. When I put the splitter back on it will also be black as its faded from black. When it's back on I'll whack a picture up and let you guys see what you think! I have a picture of the seats in the EG6 track car they came out of I'll post it in a minute.
