Year:2004 Make: Honda Civic Type-R Model: Type-R Tax: March 2014 MOT: June 2014 Mileage: 99,150 (daily drive) Description: It's a 2004 model on a late 53 plate, mileage just ticked over to 99,150 miles. (I drive it daily so it will increase) The overall condition of the car is extremely good. I was treated to a full respray in October 2012. Mainly because it had started to fade, and the previous owner hadn't heard of polish, he used T-Cut on it every week, which destroyed the paint. (idiot.) I have owned the car for 19 months. It has been faultless. I have changed 2 things since owning. The clutch at 85,600 as it was still on the factory OEM. It now has an up-rated Exedy and Stage 1 flywheel. The other being 1x Engine mount which is common to give on these. Again this was the original mount and had deteriorated so i changed this. Spec; Facelift Type-R (Different headlights, front bumper & splitter, interior, rear lights. Milano Red 99,150 miles. (Daily drive) Last service was 96,000 New OEM clutch at 85,600 8000k HID's Hi & Low Beam. TEIN Superstreet coil-overs, with upgraded mounts. That was £1100. Scorpion 2.5inch Exhaust, with 4" back box. Doesn't scream, subtle until you decide to press the loud pedal. Japspeed 2.5inch Manifold & Decat. K&N Typhoon induction kit Buddyclub front strut brace Teigwa Carbon Fiber bonnet HEKO wind deflectors Wheels refurbed in championship white (could do with another furb) Drilled & Grooved Brembo Discs & Pads HEL Braided Brake Hoses (Front only) BLOX Magnetic Sump Plug D2 Lower control arms ASR Gold rear plate Beaks Lower Tie Bar Volt + Oil temperate gauges in dual holder on pillar. Re-sprayed October 2012 It was recorded Cat-D by a previous numpy going in the back of a car at lights. The damage was new bonnet, bumper & wings. It had a new crash-bar fitted. Unless looking at the documents you wouldn't tell otherwise, as it was fully repaired then. to a high standard. It has a slight crunch in 3rd gear when your giving it some, Diagnosed by Honda as linkages and need replacing. Overall, the car doesn't disappoint. I have owned it coming up to 2 years, and it still puts a smile on my face. Just to put peoples mind at ease, these DO NOT consume fuel like you imagine. 6 speed @ 80mph on a motorway your sitting just under 3.5k RPM. I've managed 480-520 miles from a tank. Empty-Full = £58.50-£62 (depending on whats left in the tank) Price: £3695 - I would like a Glanza in PX + Cash my way or a straight swap for the right car. Pictures: Contact Details: Either fire me a pm, or text me: 07715 285825 I will be polishing/cleaning over the weekend & advertising on Gumtree,Pistonheads and my type-r forum. I will own a Glanza soon!

I think I've made my mind up! I'll be back in January (or whn the civic sells) Glanza. Would love to finish the conversion project of my old N/A if anyone knows where it is? R206 URB - Silver with blue wheels(chrome lip) black roof / scoop!

Swap for a civic type-r with your tdo4 + extras

Nobody local! I've driven an NA replica or owned one for 5 months. Handled well but can't camped power ect.. GT's are much cheaper to buy.. I think there uglier (IMO) but I think it's a 'toms' kit or somthimg they do look sexy with that.. I think I would go either way GT or a Glanza as long as it's looked after. I desperately need a spin in one to see if I fall for it!

Hanging. Enough said. Merry Christmas!

Definitely interested fire me a PM

To put it into context.. My friend found a EP3 in leeds.. it was 278 miles door to door.. We took my EP3 Full tank is £60 we topped up another £20 halfway back! So i did 550 miles on £80.. and on the way home..it was a fun drive..;)

On the CTR forums theres not many problems with engine failure. Main reason idiots run them without oil for a month and still use VTEC. On the other hand i can catagorically say my Type-R uses less fuel than my N/A Starlet.. £20 in CTR lasts alot longer, my fuel bill has decreased in ownership of it! All this CONS yet i still want a V!!!!!
-
My Main concern.. they cant seem to be ran reliably...worrying
-
Im selling up the EP3 January if the arguement in my head sorts itself out anytime soon.. One minute Glanza..Next keep the CTR.. urghh only just had it resprayed too!
-
Blimey.. Any more info..?
-
Can the 1.3 really squeez over 150? Currently my EP3 pulls past it before i bottle it.. (Closed road ofcourse..)
-
That certainly doesn't help! - Urghh.. my NA was used and abused the dirty slag. Never had a hiccup.. I just worry over the 4E-FTE compared with the 4E-FE...
-
Reliability is my other MAIN concern. Spending all out and getting a dud.. Compression testing will be done on any i view/buy (seller allowing, if not. i wont view) but still may not highlight other issues..i.e..bottom end?

Once had a N/A Glanza Replica i bought from a previous member on here. I was going to convert it.. Had EVERYTHING need'ed however, i went off the idea after spending £1300 on bits.. Anyway, bought a EP3 Civic Type-R, Facelift in Milano Red. I do love the car, it's a beast.. But i've always longed for boost.. VTEC is now boring.. My question is, do you think its worth it? I know reliablity on Glanza's isn't the best. (from reading articles here months ago..) I would only go for boost on a high-spec'ed glanza as my R is worth over £3,000.. Do you think im mad? Also would i be disapointed with the performance off a glanza at around 180-200bhp with my 200bhp civic.. i know top end the civic would eat it, but just the noise these things make has always had made my moist.. What's your opinons.. It's so difficult for me, i love the R.. but i long for boost.. Lewis
