  1. 13mm is sod all really in comparison to the shit i see at some vw shows, get the your arches rolled a bit and you will be fine. My brother and a few mates are heavily into vw's so making wide wheels fit i know about. I take it your putting the wider ones on the back? you might have to get some low profile tyres on there with a teeny bit of a stretch (nout stupid) and then as i say roll the arches but im pretty sure they will go on without too much trouble. If it wasnt difficult then everyone would be doing it, besides they will look sex when your done.
  2. thats a cobra clubman and speaking from experiance offer very good lateral support and are surprisingly comfortable for 20 quid you cant go wrong
  3. let me know how the clutch line swap goes, ive had one sat on my shelf looking at me for months and i havent fitted it yet. Seems like half my car spends more of its life in storage rather than on the car itself. oh and im loving the longchamps, you gonna split them and give em a paint or just wack them on? by the way im a proper name whore as well, laurel and hardy over there just dont understand i think we should start a coalition for name whores

  6. thats the heater resistor card, its a common prob among nissans of that era. Should be about a fiver from a scrapyard if that

  8. bought mine from john at fylde imports, couldnt recomend highly enough
  9. depends what you define as rare really and also where abouts your from, I think you will find with most enthusiasts of a certain brand or genre that they will be biased but isnt that the reason why people like us are into certain types of cars? Its a bit silly to think that a toyota starlet is the greatest engineering feat ever made but i think its the potential in them that people see rather than the car itself, i know i do. Granted theres a helluva lot more potential in other cars and i think we all would be driving different machines if we had our own way but my starlet suits my needs a
  10. its 0.6 of a mile to 1 km or 1.6km to a mile (ish) just google it mate and you will get a converter up which will do it to about 5 decimal places
  11. glanzas it might be easy (i dunno ive never had one apart) but 82's are a touch more diffcult, you cant seperate the number reel from the speedo wthout breaking something, you have to get the drill out and manually wind it back and it takes an absolue age to get anywhere. I only know becuase ive been wrist deep in speedo bits this weekend.
  12. i think what people are trying to say is cars from the same era are very different in terms of reliability, a lot of my freinds drove french and english cars and im usually the one that gets lumbered with fixing them. Its funny as some of them were spot on and never went wrong but then some of them were awfull and spat there dummy out every 5 mins. i sure as hell know my freinds 53 reg clio 1.2 was a hell of a lot more reliable than my 1995 ep82. But then again its a lot newer. But ive also seen clios of the same age breakdown every time there started. A freind of mine is heavily into vw's a

  18. speakin to my importer and he said the same he also said that he cant find quadlamp gt's for decent money anymore, he said the ones that come up for sale go for quite a bit and as a result would have to charge like 4000 just to make it worth it hes only a smallish business in comparison to the other out there though
  19. hell if you just google them you will find out what theyre like
