  4. benefits of using ARP head bolts over standard ones (not running over a bar of boost) ? benefits of using a 1.2mm head gasket (not running over a bar of boost) ? When rebuilding my bottom end, should i renew the Rod bolts and nuts , as they are Stretch bolts? and can anyone get hold of these? any porting i can do on the bottom end to improve oil flow ? Best oil to used when running in ....and then oil to use once run in is complete? are the whole engine gasket sets the same for ep82 and ep91 ? think that all for now thanks very much guys
  5. Thanks alot dude really help full , it must have a ep82 conversion in a ep91 chassis, as the ecu was behind the glove box , but has 2 plugs aha thanks very much dave
  6. thanks it has 2 plugs , so a ep82 :/ its in a 1997 ep91 chassis thow ? is there a massive difference? thanks dave
  7. i brought a car with a engine conversion , he said was it was a glanza engine , how can i deffo confirm this? wana make sure it is a EP91 engine and loom before i buy a ecu? thanks dave

  10. right guys i have read the write up at the top of this section and just have a few questions. so if i had these mods: FMIC relocated air intake decat 2.5inch exhaust system running higher boost - say .8-9 bar think that all for now would a plug and play be able to run this setup and fuel it correctly? no mapping needed? also what Lambda / Air fuel ratio is best for a 4efte ? and if anyone has one they are looking to sell in the near future let me know:) thanks dave

  13. New pistons , rings and gudgeon pins for a nice £150. rods are off to get shot peened so just need me crank back, bearings and gasket set and il be ready to start rebuilding 0 bargin!
  14. yes the pins are a interference fit, i got quoted £40 for removal and replacing ? that sound okay

Right thanks guys , mixed opinions. just dont want to be rebuilding my engine again when its dropped another rod lol. im only aiming for 200bhp ish would you recommend going forged or just running stock internals and making sure its running good while making that power? was thinking about shot peening but the pins are pressed in and probs damaged them while pressing them out? thanks oh yeh , i have a tight budget still a apprentice so on shitty wage haha
