It won't do any long term damage, its there incase there are any imperfections in the making of the seperate items. Like i said if it runs and idles good then it should be ok.

ARB is 5x better than the manifold for improving the starlets characteristics ;) I also recomend (so would most people) 3G disks and greenstuff pads..

So you didn't have a gasket with the old manifold? :S if you say it runs fine and idles fine then thats all good but I'd still get one for peice of mind. Best way I find to propperly reset the ECU is disconnect it from behing the glove box ;) You know its reset when you start it up next, it tends to want to stall but revs itself back up. leave it idling for 5-10 mins then take it for a good drive through all gears with hard and easy driving.

Its gona be the pipe, I managed to move mine by unclipping/unbolting it from the fire wall... The small pipe is attatched to an electronic box which is to do with the Air sensors. Ste I used my original one you should be ok unless it rips or something.

Well the other day I took my throttle body off to give it a good clean, there were some nasty deposites on it and Idle was dropping to 500rpm on occasions. Then I noticed inside the inlet manifold there was a nice pool of oil so I whipped that off and gave it a good clean also. Now my question is, Is it against the law (MOT law ) to have an oil catch can attached to the PCV?

That would probably be high enough compression with the headgasket as its meant for the 4E anyway. Austrailians eh.. only thing they ever invented is the rotary washing line, but when it comes to Toyotas theyre just plain mad, good but mad! If you got the e-manage for a good price then why the hell not, I swear you get everything for a good price lol (I'm just jealous ) Oh Ste - I think he will be on the dyno when the e-manage gets tuned
