  1. I use mainly autoglym and meguirs. Get great results with SRP and I use their rapid detailer spray in between washes.
  2. Been buying a few bits for the Glanza recently. Had a crack in my manifold so I've bought a ported standard manifold as I quite like the oem look and this should be nice and strong I hope. Also got a brand new top grill from ID-Workz, was well happy with it. Got it fitted straight away, makes the front look so much better, not so open now. And finally I went round my mates earlier to pick up some oil he had for me and he gave me an original Toyota cross spanner. I like the little oem details like this so i've polished that up before it goes in the boot. Bit OCD but I lov
  3. Brilliant, that's exactly what I was after thank you for the advice. Doesn't seem too hard. I'll just have to be careful.
  4. Going to be changing my japspeed manifold for a ported standard mani soon. I have a civic rad fitted so shouldn't need to remove that for access. Has anyone got any tips for doing the manifold. I'll soak all the bolts the night before to help loosen them. I'm no mechanic but I have a good understanding of what I'm doing. Cheers Andy.
  5. Thanks guys, I think it'll have to be the G5 then!
  6. Brilliant, if postage quote is good I'll have it. I'm in Maidstone Kent. I'll PM you my post code so you can get a quote.
  7. Yeah that would be great thanks. Just checking there's no cracks in this and it'll fit a glanza?
  8. I'm thinking of putting an alarm of some sort, preferably cat 1 on my glanza. It currently has the original remote central locking. Can anyone advise a good alarm? Also, I'm assuming they need to be fitted professionally, has anyone got any experience with a fitter in Kent? Thanks, Andy
  9. Hiya, have you still got the manifold? How much for it posted? Where are you located? Cheers
  10. As title says, I'm after a performance exhaust manifold for ct9 turbo. Anything considered. Also needed is a top grill for a 98' spec Glanza front bumper. Cheers Andy
  11. Back to work on the car this morning. Got my rear boot panel fitted and also got hold of a pair of parcel shelf clips. I thought I'd try and stop the shelf rattling although I know it's always going to be a bit noisy. I glued my parcel shelf clips in and then stuck down so rubber matting along the edges of the rear trim... I then clipped in the shelf, hooked it up to the boot and now it doesn't rattle at all! Obviously if you go over a big bump then it makes a bit of a thud as it jumps up and down but it's 100 times better than that annoying rattle! I also managed to fix my dodgy bonnet re
  12. What sites do you use to find bits like those. That little passenger tidy is really nice.
  13. Thanks for the welcome yeah it's a great base for me. Will be making changes in the new year. Got my boot trim in now which is much better.
  14. Nice to meet you today. Thanks again for your help. Car looks really nice, live the varis kit. Look forward to seeing progress on it.
  15. This is my first Starlet after selling my Fiesta which was my first car. Always been into my jap imports but hadn't heard of GT Turbos and Glanzas until a mate of mine at work bought his GT. I knew I had to get one if I could insure one. Eventually, I managed to get hold of this Glanza. It's a 1998 Glanza V with about 65,000 miles on the clock. Was imported in 2008 and is in what I would call good condition for it's age. After I got it I took off the window tints, re-fitted the front bumper to re-align it and welded up the holes in the exhaust. Heres how it stands now http://www.ukstarletowner
  16. Thanks for the welcome everyone this seems like a really popular forum! Exactly what I was looking for
  17. Thanks for the welcome I'll start a project log on here soon with pictures of the inside and engine bay. When the cars all sorted for the summer I'll have to pop down for a bluewater meet.
  18. Hello there, I'm Andy and I'm from Maidstone in Kent. I've only just found this forum so thought i'd join. I bought this 98 Glanza V off a friend of mine about a month or so ago. It's done about 60,000 miles and is in pretty good condition for it's age. Before this I had a 98 Fiesta so this is a bit of a step up. I'll explain more about the starlet and my plans in a project log but heres a couple of pics for now. Comments welcome
