  1. Still not mapped, but will be until the summer has gone! Last week I changed my TRD plug leads to red Ultra leads I bought as used and they started missfiring on boost. Took them off once again and gave a good clean up and now they are spot on! Then I needed a harness for my AEM UEGO wideband as I want to use it for data logging with EMU. Greddy sells the harness, but the price is quite high, so I bought Futaba servo extension cable that is used in R/C cars. You have to cut a small edge off from the plug and it will fit perfect. (already cut on the pic below)

Another nice gadget is this blue box I got from Canada

After two minutes it was hooked up like this

Setting up the phone and here we have Bluetooth data logger showing injector opening duration, ignition angle in degrees, percentage of opening of ICV, RPM, MAP sensor value, engine water temp, TPS status, speed and lambda lean or rich. Knock icon will show up, if knock is detected. I'm not sure, if my android version(4.4) is too new for this app as it froze immediately when I started to drive, so I have to look into it a bit more.

Can u write a tutorial on this please

  2. Thats where i brought my parts from. Great-buy-guy..

i think the 9:1 comp ration is based on stock engine setup. Stock headgasket thickness without any machine work.

If you decide to buy make sure they dont try and rip you off on import charges.

Will do thanks for the info, did u have a bad experience with him

You'll have to email them. The stock combustion chamber volume is 38cc (providing your cylinder head hasn't had a skim previously), plus whatever the stock dish is on the pistons. Then you will need to work out the volume provided by the headgasket thickness.

    Ok thanks for the knowledge
  3. Dished pistons are of a far better design in a turbo motor. They may be advertised as 9:1 compression but theres more than just the pistons that make up the compression ratio of the engine. You need to find out what headgasket size and combustion chamber volume they used to get their 9:1 estimation.

How do I go about finding this out am lost to this

  4. Hi I saw some forged 4e 9:1 comp pistons on the net and this got me thinking of a high compression bulid with boost, im not sure but I think the 5efhe is 9:1 can any give me some addvise on this thanks

  5. have you tested the other cylinders to see if spark is missing on those as well?

if its just one cylinder, then its most likely the wire, plug or cap ------and you said you changed those

yea all four are working i pulled out each wire and did the screw driver test got shocked and all lol soo the wires r working changed plug to new then tried the old something so dont think its those also seeing liquid come out that cylinder by manifold
