Duduglanza
My toyota mapsensor is reading much more boost than the greddy one. for example greddy sensor sees 20psi and the toyota map sensor reads 31psi! whats happening?
gorganl2000
where do you have them connected? it the greddy sensor genuine?were they always this far out? is one of the sensors broken? from what i've seen they are usually within 1 psi in terms of reading...very close what is your boost gauge reading for a comparison? TrisK
Scales are probably different
Duduglanza
The greddy sensor and the aem boost gauge are reading +/- the same. on 20psi the toyota is reading 31psi
gorganl2000
maybe the map sensor needs changing....is there someone close-by that you can borrow a map? do you get any codes from the stock ecu?...i think map is code 34 i dont recall the stock map being able to read that high anyways....somehow 1.2bar comes to mind...but i could be wrong how are you able to read the stock map sensor? Duduglanza
through the emanage!
Phil
Your emanage scaling will be for the 3bar greddy unit probably Your still just using a 5v sensor But the voltage output on one sensor doesn't equate to the same pressure on a different sensor Phil
gorganl2000
ok, just looked at some old emu datalogs, i see the stock sensor reading around 214/218kpa when selected...on some full boost runs....which is about 31psi as you mentioned ....while the greddy sensor is reading the correct throughout, which is far less boost than what the stock sensor reading on the emu is showing so i'd assume the stock sensor is not calibrated for the greddy to read properly...or maybe try changing the unit/scale and see if it reads better, but i doubt it would make a difference Edited April 4, 2016 by gorganl2000
