Pikey009
Looking to switch to a half rad set up and was wondering about people's experiences with them and who/where does a decent kit? I don't need to go above a twin core and I want it to fit well. Any help/pics would be great thanks

jamesglanza
Can go triple for the same sort of money, 56mm core I've found slightly better cooling than the dual core as my down pipe is close to it.
Pikey009
Thanks guys that's great, i've seen the ones on ebay but didn't know if the quality or fitment was any good. Edited June 1, 2016 by Pikey009
Ollieh17
They are all pretty much the same. Triple core is probably a bit OTT. My car always ran colder with a half rad, which isnt always a good thing
Pikey009
Cheers mate ill just go for a twin i think
Charlie28
Worth getting one from ID workz, Triple core with the bottom port moved so its not close to the exhaust...

Do you have a pic of yours fitted? I'm also guessing that NA and glanza have the same mounting points etc?
Pikey009
Yeh had a good look on id workz and it looks great but then I'd have to buy the fitting kit and a fan on top :/
carlosd87
Anyone have any helpful ideas as to how to get the hoses onto the half rad, or is it just shear brute strength and frustruiton?!
jamesglanza
Silicone grease works really well, leave the hose in hot water to soften it up.

I know there are really cheap kits on ebay but by the time you put a full kit together they aren't that much cheaper than the big tuning companies. I need to save up anyway so the progress is put on hold for the time being :/
