redliner
How old are you and what year is the glanza?I'm 30 glanza is
richardc9052
Your age is good, you can get classic insurance on it when we get to 2018... Best bet is for you to insure something with Liberty and then transfer over to the glanza after a month or so
redliner
Ya I was told that before, roll on 2018 so, Ah I hoping just to insure it straight away but that hope is fading
richardc9052
No companies will start a new policy on a jap especially over 10 years old. Transfer is the only way and liberty seem to be the only ones that will still do it. When you do just say youve just bought it. After that just keep renewing until you can get classic. richardc9052
Your just going to have to decide which car you want to drive.. atm having two cars is expensive, never mine one being an over 10 year old jap turbo.

Best bet is for you to insure something with Liberty and then transfer over to the glanza after a month or so classic as a 20 years old ??? mine is older then that already
richardc9052
Yep, once your over 25 years old and the car is over 20 you can get classic jap insurance on a second vehicle via Autoline in Northern Ireland. They dont offer a standard policy to the south but their classic policy does cover the south.
5e colin
so i need to insure a norther irland car first ??
richardc9052
No, you need to have to have a Main daily driver insured in southern ireland.

Justforfun
My GT is 25 years old, I paid 950 fully comp last year and my renewal for this year was 2200 needless to say I told them to fuck off. Tried for weeks to get it covered all said no even tried 2 classic companies both said no. Finally got 3rd party through a crowd in donegal for 1300. We get absolutely rode without lube in Ireland for insurance it's a fucking total scam. It's cheaper for me to insure the 2lt turbo I'm in the middle of importing at the moment than it is to insure a 1991 GT
Irishstarlet
Try Ulster farmers Union
