RandomDan Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Im probably going to need to replace my front wheel bearings soon and i have but one question. Are they press in or slip on? Quote
patman Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 When you say press fit morgey do you mean on a machine? Quote
morgey Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Ideally you want a hydraulic press but can be hammered/persuaded in by hand Quote
patman Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Phewwwww that's how my mechanic done mine morgey, tapping it in with a mallet Quote
Starlet__SR Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 Bad practice to hit a bearing. Use a preas. Quote
RandomDan Posted August 31, 2016 Author Posted August 31, 2016 (edited) Thanks for the info! Yea the race can be damaged with a hammer and you could end up at square one Or at the very least with a bearing with a shorter life span! Edited August 31, 2016 by RandomDan Quote
FMuscle Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 ^^^ This. I had one last only one year, and I was pushing it. Quote
