Ryncewind
Is it actually rotten or just some shit inside it?
Ryncewind
If the tanks just full of crap and surface rust inside, Go to a garden centre and buy a bag of smooth garden stones, or ball bearings, something along those lines, sling them in your fuel tank and shake it around with a friend, turn it over and do the same, this will smash the rust off the inside of the tank, then you want to get a POR-15 fuel tank repair kit, it will clean it inside and re-seal it, will be like brand new, paint the outside in hammerite or something similar while your at it to protect it. Ryncewind
My 1981 Mazda had been sat for 14 years with petrol in the tank, I'm sure it will be repairable.Might be easier than finding a new tank, Just an option.

dpage
apparently it has a 3 inch hole in it lol
morgey
I needed a replacement one. Mine rusted and split along the rear seam, was leaking fuel all over the place. Strange thing is my car is pretty rust free otherwise. Stick an add in the wanted section and have a look through the breakers area on here 👍
Ryncewind
A 3 inch hole? Christ! You could try a repair company but they're expensive, i got a quote to have my tank refurbished by a company in leeds, they wanted 500 quid hence why i did it myself lol
dpage
bloody hell 500 quid !
Ryncewind
Yeah, Northern Radiators in Leeds, They were going to chop it in half blast it all and reseal it then weld it back together. Did it myself for about 80 quid all in lol

Was only a year or so back.
