weeping petrol tank, new or repair?

Afternoon, I've noticed my tank is weeping at the rear at the seem. So do them patch repairs work? Or where can i get a new tank? Only ones ive seem on ebay are corolla ones, would they fit?

Pretty sure they can be had new for about £130 not sure i that was at a motor factors or toyota themselves though

Toyota still sell them new lol, but nobody thinks to check.

Try you local motor factors (wilcos euro car parts etc) you'd be surprised what they have available

Corollas have a bigger tank, pretty sure they mount completely differently

Ive been looking at them might go av a chat at local auto factors. See if those putty repairs are any good

I had this a couple of years ago, bit of bad ache as it was dripping fuel on my exhaust as well which is never a good thing but i managed to get a 2nd hand one from a trader on here.

it was slightly rusty but went to the effort of stripping all of the surface rust off and then coating the entire thing in hammerite to protect it.

Quite common the tanks are starting to rot

The top of the tank isnt protected snd the factory paint coating is thin.
